Established in 1998, this place is as old as I am. I came here with family to try something different but was greeted by something oddly familiar. I had the Creamy lemon salmon pasta, which was perfect. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was perfectly rich, not overpowering. I definitely would have it again. We also had the mushroom soup. It was nice but the preparation was rather different. With its big chunks of mushrooms and not much liquid, it was more like an onion soup than your regular mushroom. How you interpret that description is up to you as it wasn't really a problem for me, just different. The lamb was cooked to perfection with its ability to be just torn apart with ease. The strange highlight for me was the bolognese. I say this because it tastes exactly like the bolognese I had when I was a kid in a hotel at Batu Ferringhi called Lone Pine. The hotel had since then changed so much, even the menu. But this pasta gave me an Anton Ego flashback moment.
The price is what you'd expect from a steakhouse, high. But the atmosphere evokes a feeling of change. The decor matches the restatements of today. But the physical menus themselves call back...
Read moreWe came here to celebrate our first born who turns 22 on 20 June 2024. Kudos to staff Amy and team who reserved the place and had a small birthday deco at the background, which we never expect. Service was fast and splendid.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 All the food ordered was beyond expectation. We had medium well ribeye steak which was juicy and tasty. One of the best ribeye steak in town 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. We also ordered the sizzling lamb ribs where the portion was big and very fulfilling. Taste was also superb. Birthday boy ordered RGP beef ribs which was also great to the last mouth. We love the ambience, cosy and very family friendly. Not noisy. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant had no cakes but they allowed us to deliver the cake directly to the store. This was a suprise for the birthday boy. The staff even sang the birthday song when they brought the cake to the table.
All in all 5 STARS 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 and WELL DONE to the owners for having a GREAT halal western restaurant that is at par or may i say better as compared to the famous...
Read moreWe had the garlic and pepper steak. For RM 95, steak cut was quite big, slathered with sauce and side of sauce as well. It was tasty and very filling.
The star was the sizzling brisket- for one pax, portion was almost enormous. Sauce was tasty, wished there was bread to soak the sauce. However, prefer to tone down on the amount of sauce. The roast taste was overpowered by the sauce.
Letdown for me was the sizzling lamb chop. It was tough and not much meat, I bite into bones several times. Because the slice was drenched in sauce, could not really see what was I cutting. I recommend to reduce the sauce. It masked the meat taste.
The restaurant was warm at the time despite 2 airconds. With sizzling served to me, it gets warmer and I was actually sweating while cutting the lamb which was tough. Maybe can improve with fans at the side. The airconds kena middle tables je.
Would come again for the steak and brisket..but next time I will ask them to reduce amount of...
