First time experience BBQ style buffet...
Price - 9/10 Superb (For the food portion and the price its extremely generous bottomless portion and can topup rice, meats, soup for no extra charges).
Food quality - 8/10 Really good, served raw had too cook ourselves (no stomachache, no side effects after consumption)
Premise(Outside) - 3/10 Looks unwelcoming and the glass wall outside looks very oily and dirty (probably because of the BBQ inside) but hoping you guys can keep it clean next time
Premise(Inside) - 4/10 Main issue is certain area are not covered with aircond. Since cooking and eating process takes long we are sweating a lot when eating. Hope you guys can improve on the ventilation system, smoky everywhere (be prepared to smell like roasted meat when leaving the restaurant). The chimney on our table are broken so we cant bring up leaving it hanging on lowest point difficult to cook as sometimes easily hit the chimney.
Waiter/Waitress Service - 1.5/10 I see bunch of newbies working not knowing what to explain to customers. Most of them like to group up and hide their faces behind. Very hard to communicate as they themselves don't know what they are selling to customers. Please provide proper training for these people to "jaga" your restaurant image.
With proper management and consistency this setting can go far.. Keep improving take care of cleanliness, take care of food quality, hire the right people(discipline, passionate and...
Read moreThis is my personal experience during my visit recently. Overall low rating so far has been due to their service especially on reservation. Luckily for me it didnt take me too long to get my seat and being served.
But i really have issue with the food. Opted for the rm35 buffet and indeed it was a good value for money. Rice and salad were descent. The miso soup literally just miso paste and water, no tofu, seaweed or green onion in it. Balance was also out as it was too salty. Shabu shabu, hmmm not quite sure what kind of soup it was. I just had 2 beef slices cooked in it and just switched it off. The chicken i believed to be chicken breast, and the beef was sliced very thinly. Both were lean and when you grilled itt, it easily dried out as there was no fat or oil provided. Im just depending on the lamb fat to make it 'juicy'. The sauce counter, out of 12, only 5 were filled and what were filled were chili oil, garlic oil, cili padi, soy sauce and sesame sauce. How to make a good sauce then. Overall im just missing balance in taste, no soup, sour factor, juicy meat etc. I would rather add additional rm15 and have my hotpot/bbq in icity with more things to enjoy.
And the smoke suction, not quite sure whether its working properly. The whole restaurant filled with smoke. At the span of 1hr i was there, they were 2 'grill on fire' incidents.
It has a good idea concept but execution way far than good. Once to try it out is...
Read moreDropped by around 5pm and lucked out with available seats, no crazy wait time, which was a nice surprise. But from the moment I stepped in, the service was a bit of a letdown. The cashier, who also happened to be the person assigning tables, had their hands full, so even though there were empty seats, we had to wait for the payment queue to clear before being seated. Not the smoothest start.
Took them about 15 minutes just to set up the grill, and getting the staff’s attention was a bit of a game haha raised hands and polite “excuse me” were mostly ignored. No one took the initiative to explain how things worked either, so we were left to figure it out on our own, which really shouldn’t be the case, especially at a buffet-style spot. What surprised me most was the lack of basics: we had to ask for cutlery, gas for the soup, cups for water and even the ventilation hood wasn’t turned on until we specifically requested it. These should be part of the standard setup, not something diners have to chase down.
Putting service aside—the food? Honestly not bad. For RM35, it’s a solid unlimited buffet. The selection was decent, flavours were fine, and it delivered what you'd expect at that price point. Overall, I don’t really have major complaints about the food. But the service really needs work. With better training and a more organised system, the whole experience could be...
