I went here before when the place was just a regular shop. The price was okay, the food was okay too but not something memorable. And today, after a while, I came back again to a whole new place, with better atmosphere and design BUT the food was so much more expensive. All the heavy food was RM20 and above and the side dishes was expensive too. And the drinks. RM8+ for ice lemon tea? And bottled water for RM3. Questionable. I would be okay with all the prices if the taste is good and the portion is plenty. And nope. It wasn't. It was just regular food and nothing unique about it enough to justify the price. The portion, I guess was okay. The pasta was okay, I just wish there was more protein or something. The butter chicken was odd because they put ginger and for me, it ruined the taste. The chicken batter looked a bit dark. I think if you want to come here for the ambience, you'll be in luck since it was comfortable with the air-conditioning for indoors and the tables and seats were comfortable too. But the food could be better. Also, the service charge is quite expensive at 12%. Honestly, I don't think I would come again unless I just want to have a comfortable place to hangout.

Ambience wise: Its a normal setting for a cafe. Not too aesthetic, its normal is all I can say. Clean floor and tables, great cafe music for studying too. The cafe is not that hard to find as they have huge signboard outside and inside the building. Food wise: I had Pesto Pasta for lunch. The pasta is well cooked. For the sauce, not very to my liking, I do love Pesto pasta because of the Basil flavour and smell. They did amazingly on the sauce but I think the fresh basil, garlic and the nuts (I don't know which kind they used) were all too chunky, not well blend. Due to that I think the sauce had three different flavour depending on what you chew on the chunk. They had a creamy taste but again all the ingredient are not well blended so its giving non- harmonious after taste. The portion is kinda too much for a single party but great for lunch date with friends. For the chicken grill, it tasted great not too juicy and not too dry for me. Well cooked and prep. The other pasta might tasted good, you can give it a try. Coffee wise: Good. Tried the roasted hazelnut coffee and it was amazing. The art on coffee also very pretty. Great experience.

The Hideout Cafe in Bukit Jelutong offers a cozy ambiance perfect for casual dining or a quiet catch-up session. Here's my take on some of their dishes: Tempura Buttermilk Fettucine: A creative fusion of crispy tempura and creamy buttermilk sauce. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the tempura added a delightful crunch. Spaghetti Chicken Parmigiana: A hearty dish with tender chicken coated in flavorful breadcrumbs, paired with well-seasoned spaghetti in a rich marinara sauce. Spring Rolls: Crisp on the outside and packed with savory goodness inside, these make for a great appetizer. Pistachio Cheesecake: The highlight of the meal! Rich, creamy, and topped with a sprinkle of pistachios, it’s a must-try for dessert lovers. The service was friendly and efficient, and the cozy interiors made the experience even better. Definitely a hidden gem worth revisiting!

Book a table for Iftar today with my friend . I pre order the food at 6:35pm via whatsapp and arrived there at 7pm . We didn’t receive our IFTAR food until 8pm tu pun dapat fries je dulu that i ordered at 6:35pm tadi . After asking the staffs thousand times where is our food and for them to reply ‘its coming’ but tak sampai sampai , me and my friend decided to go to the counter to cancel and balik . Time tu la baru they want to take my food out and passed it to me and that was only 1 of the food ! The other food still nowhere to be seen !

I understand they were having a big group for Iftar but that doesn’t mean you have to prioritize them and make other people wait . The big group got ALL their food first before Iftar which I don’t mind cause they maybe order awal . But the thing that pisses me off is when at 8pm they add on their order and they received it within minutes while me and my friend were still waiting for our Iftar food !

I understand they have a big group so they maybe couldn’t cope but you could of apologize to us . Ni tak , masa tanya pun takde sorry , masa bayar pun takde sorry , masa cancel pun takde sorry . I used to love coming here and always promote you guys to my friends but sadly now i dah boycott The Hideout .You have ruin my experience and on top of that , you can’t even say sorry for what is clearly your mistake .GOOD...
