I ordered the nasi arab with grilled lamb as well as their mushroom soup with a side of garlic bread.
Nasi arab Pros: Portion was big, worth the price Lamb was delicious, loved the marinate used. Meat was fairly tender, much more enjoyable to use your hands to eat if you really want to get in between those pesky areas and clean the bone. the rice was good, rasa berlemak jugak sikit2. (Should it be?) the condiments that came together with the meal i.e. your typical 'sambal' for nasi arab, a cucumber and onion with white sauce thingy and the black pepper sauce for the lamb complimented whole the dish nicely.
Nasi arab Cons: I don't think there any major cons but this might be only a me thing. The banana leaf that was used as a base to decorate the dish was easily torn (duh it's a leaf). Especially considering that i'm viciously cutting through the meat and eventually cutting the leaf also. It ended up being a bit of a hassle trying to navigate trough the torn leaf to get to my rice and ultimately made it hard for me to 'licinkan my pinggan'. You may ignore this whole ramble as it might not be a significant thing but hey, if you could do something about it, why not kan? 😆
Mushroom soup and garlic bread (MSGB) pros: garlic bread was delicious! Had to get seconds. (I might just be a sucker for garlic bread though)
MSGB cons: Again not a major con. Glad they did not just chuck in canned Campbell soup and called it a day 😆. Overall soup was okay. There were decent amount of mushroom chunks and the soup had the right amount of creaminess, and topped with truffle oil (maybe?). It just lacked the mushroom flavour that I love and I wish that the mushroom chunks would be a tad bit bigger. But again it is a personal preference.
Overall, had a good experience there. The staff were friendly and the ambiance was good. Ok la nak bawak family datang sini makan sekali...
Read moreThis shop is racist, rude & insensitive. Came to dine in with my colleagues for lunch. Ordered Smoked Duck Carbonara but I was told the smoked duck was out of stock they can replace me with grilled chicken instead & I agreed.
The pasta came & I spotted bits of beef bacon I assume in it so I called the staff to confirm if it was beef & he said yes. I didn’t fight or anything I simply requested for redo the dish as I can’t consume beef. But to my surprise the staff was really unprofessional & with the rudest reply he asked me “kenapa tak bagitahu tadi?”.
How am I supposed to know it contains beef when it clearly stated in the menu there’s no beef in it ? He did not apologise & continued with the attitude. I came with a hope as i read the review of the shop were good & I invited my colleagues to dine here only for me to be faced with racism and disappointment.
I am Indian sitting with a bunch of Malay colleagues there. You can immediately spot me as an Indian but yet there was no courtesy to let me know there will be beef in it. If the roles were reversed, things would’ve gotten out of hand. Teach your staff to handle things...
Read moreGood and tasty food 5⭐ We ordered muzdalifah grill family set and hot chili butter clam with mantou bun. The family set's food was delicious. The rice itself full of flavour, not to mention the succulent chicken and beef that we got. My favourite meal must be the mantou served with butter clam. It was amazing. The gravy tasted soo good and flavourfull. I can eat this food all day long.
Cosy environment, perfect for gathering
Food served in less than 15minutes which is good. The restaurant waiter/workers looks great in their neat uniforms which add more value to this restaurant.
Ample parking area
The price. Personally, I think it is bit pricey for the food compared to other restaurant (yes we alwayss compare the price right😂), but considering the location and the food that we got, it is ok la. Sekali sekala makan
Overall, I recommend this restaurant for you to try. Dont forget to order...
