Service: Staff were very easy to communicate with. If you’re unfamiliar with Arabic food the waiter could readily tell you what to expect and recommend dishes for you

Food: 6⭐️ Portions were generous without being over the top per person, leaving you room to steal some food from your dining buddy. The immaculate presentation of grilled meat, sprinkled with a dash of green herbs, and rice echoes the restaurant’s commitment to bring you a tantalising dining experience a la Aladdin & co’s adventures in the desert. Glazed and burnish on the outside, perfectly seasoned and tender on the inside - the skewers earned an easy 5⭐️ from us. It came with a serving of soup and meat sauce, both of which the staff readily refilled for us when finished. Each grain of rice was fluffy and aromatic, beholding me with surprise at the authenticity of the food presented.

Atmosphere: 2 introverts in a nicely decked Arabic restaurant with colorful lamps, orange lighting, comfortable seating and light music playing in the background. The friendly-neighbourhood-kind of staff made communication less awkward. It’s a nice homey kind of atmosphere without being over-the-top intimidating.

It wasn’t until the end of the meal when we heard that the chef was Egyptian and had been working in the food industry for at least 35 years. Thank you Aladin Restaurant for this delightful experience not just for the tastebuds but also the imagination. You can bet on your magic carpet that this won’t be the last...

“Would definitely come back to this place!”

We came across this newly open restaurant at USJ9 which serves middle eastern cuisine and decided to try our luck. And to our surprise it exceeded all our expectations! We were firstly greeted by the owner of the restaurant with a big warm welcome and were served with a welcoming drink. The owner of the restaurant were so hospitable which took the liberty of explaining to us how the menu were each carefully selected and handpicked to best serve the local taste preference.

Then comes the food which was absolutely amazing! We were recommended to try the hummous as the appetizer, a flat bread served together with a generous amount of sauce made out of chickpeas. I personally loved the pairing of the two as it was flavorful and found it to be very appetizing. The shawarma puff is definite must try, a perfect definition of "crispy on the outside, soft on the inside". Next, we ordered the "My 3 Wishes" as our mains, consist of chicken, lamb and ribeye each served with different type of rice, and the meat were not only tender and succulent but was so flavorful. Lastly, we tried the bread pudding dessert, and oh my, it was one of the best one we have tasted so far. The creaminess with the sweetness just at the right amount paired together with the bread baked with crisp till edges were just absolutely chef's kiss.

Also not forgetting the prices were reasonably charged. Overall the dining experience was amazing and will definitely be...

The reservation follow-up was handled with professionalism and courtesy, creating a positive first impression. The meat dishes—including beef ribs, lamb shank and shoulder, and chicken—were expertly prepared. Each was tender, moist, and effortlessly separated from the bone. The flavors were well-balanced, and all dishes were served at the right temperature.

The rice was equally impressive—light, fluffy, and flavorful. Among the options, we found the Mandi rice to be the most enjoyable, standing out over the Kabsa and Pilaff (still enjoyable). The side dishes, particularly the salsa and soup, complemented the meal well. The hummus and flatbread were exceptional—smooth, rich in flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients.

Service was efficient, attentive, and personalized. A meaningful conversation with the owner, who shared insights into the restaurant’s history and his personal background, added a memorable and authentic touch to our visit. We also appreciated the thoughtful dessert treat at the end of the meal.

I dined with a group of 12, and the overall experience was highly satisfying. I would confidently recommend this restaurant for both lunch and...

Aladin is a must try Middle Eastern cuisine restaurant, much better than the others i have tried so far. The Lamb Shank is a ‘fall-off-the-bone’, richly flavoured, moist, succulent, satisfying and melt-in-your-mouth dish. Similarly, the lamb shoulder is also braised to perfection and fall-apart tender, richly flavoured as well. The Hommous is also worth trying as its different from the rest as it is creamy and rich. The Lamb Shank and Lamb Shoulder comes with 3 different choices of rice, Mandi, Mediterranean Pilaf or Kabsa, very moist and flavourful. These dishes come with Bamia, a vegetable stew with Ocra and Sahawi their chilli sauce equivalent to a Salsa. The sauce is not strong and too spicy, just right. We had a complimentary Basbusa, equivalent to a ‘Sugee’ cake. It was quite pleasant. The prices are very reasonable especially for the quality and taste of what is served. I strongly recommend Aladin if you love or would like to try Middle Eastern cuisine !
