Restaurant Exposure: THIS RESTAURANT BRIBES CUSTOMERS FOR 5 STAR RATINGS BY PROVIDING FREE GIFTS IN RETURN FOR A 5 ⭐. RATINGS ARE NOT 100% RELIABLE. READ REVIEWS BEFOREHAND, READ REVIEWS THAT GO BEYOND A FEW SENTENCES, AND PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
A laminated card encouraging people to provide a 5 star rating is provided to customers upon sitting down, however it was (perhaps deliberately?) all written in only Chinese.
I take my Google Local Guide review writing seriously and will expose all businesses that do this bullcrap nonsense as it ruins the integrity of the review & rating system that many rely on. That being said, this review is 100% my own and I did not receive ANY rewards for this review.
I had their curry laksa/mee, and while it's presentation was very nice and enticing, the siham/blood cockles were both not fresh and also overcooked. Curry laksa/mee soup was flavorful but was too little for the amount of noodles, so over time as you eat, the noodles will keep absorbing the broth and a bowl of soupy noodles turns into dry noodles. This was my biggest qualm about it but otherwise there is plenty of toppings & ingredients in the bowl and it's a well-prepared bowl of curry mee, that just has plenty of room for improvement.
I also had the Cham C and Lorbak. They were both pretty average only.
In hindsight, their food was mediocre. Not inedible, just mediocre. Has plenty of room for improvement, but I can say that their dining environment is comfortable and clean and well lit, and their staff's service is good and they were very attentive to our needs. They also have a cute resident cafe cat that is extremely fluffy and goes around the restaurant if it's awake.
Overall, decent neighborhood place to get your every-day meal. But is it worthy of it's high ratings? Probably not—because of their bribery/rewards system for people who give them 5 stars. If you want 5 stars, you have to earn it. Improve your food, improve your menu based on real feedback. Not fake your...

Then came the food. Ordered their signature prawn Mee and fried chicken nasi lemak. On first look, the broth looks diluted and my disappointment sets in. Indeed, broth can go with more prawn umami flavour. Sambal for nasi lemak is on the sweeter side with less spicyness. I guess this was the owner's intention to cater to the majority tastebuds. Fried chicken doesn't seem as fresh because the meat taste like frozen meat. All in all, food taste average. Coffee is acceptable at least better than those in Johor bahru. Staff interaction is a breeze. They know what you need...
Read moreA little hidden from the main Puchong area, but using Waze/Google map, it should bring u there easily. Located in one of the shoplot with ample parking space infront. Nice and cosy setup inside. Tried out their signature Hokkien Prawn Mee and Curry Mee + 2 white coffee, total (+tax) RM42+... Thumbs up 👍🏻 for their Hokkien Prawn Noodle - broth is flavourful, tasty, with a good portion of noodle served; unlike some places. Curry just okay... for me personally, I find it not creamy enough. Noodle portion good, too. 👍🏻 Their white coffee is the best. Creamy and...
