I must say this is a great location for cafe but after patronising I felt like it's a wasted opportunity. This cafe is half cafe half furniture show room. I believe the furniture store decided to start a cafe of it's own - Poppu. The ambience the lighting the overall gives out a food vibe to chill and meet friends or clients on a hot afternoon. And that's it, because in terms of food , that's the disappointing part.
The pricing is on par with other premium cafes but taste wise, it's not there yet.
An Americano for RM 9.90 is cheaper than average so nothing to complaint about it.
But for a Big Breakfast just cost RM25.90 is a bit steep for it's portion and quality.
The purple cabbage is raw but without any balsamic vinegar or oil. It's sitting there dry, the only oil in the plate is from the bland fried mushroom. All I can taste is a bit of butter n pepper, thats it. It doesn't have the aroma of a sauteed mushroom. Scambble eggs is tasteless too. I think the chef forgot to season the egg. The tiny piece of focaccias is ok. Just it's too little to be in BIG breakfast.
This is the customized version . The regular big breakfast will come with a sausage and some chicken breast. No comment on that .
Overall , if forget about the small portion , the taste will be the main complaint here. Purple cabbage is unlike the usual romaine lettuce, it's dry and bland to the taste so it has to be served with some salad dressing and mix with cherry tomatoes to balance the taste. Besides that sauteed mushroom definitely needs garlic to lift the taste. Try frying with garlic butter.
In short, after having the big breakfast here. There's nothing for remember or to...

Food: Chicken Bowl This Chicken Bowl with chicken and ramen is a nutritional powerhouse! Packed with veggies and nuts, every bite is bursting with flavor and goodness. The ramen noodles are perfectly cooked and coated in a delicious sesame sauce that adds a fun twist to the dish. The sautéed chicken adds a subtle mushroom flavor that elevates the entire salad.
Mushroom with Garlic Bread In poppu cafe, you can experience the comforting warmth and earthy goodness of a classic mushroom soup, complete with its rich flavor and smooth texture. They are making it fresh daily instead of using instant mushroom soup powder to serve customer.
The aroma of garlic bread is elevated to new heights with a delicate coating of parsley on the outer layer. The only downside of this garlic bread is that the salt is not evenly distributed, however its a perfect match with mushroom soup.
Chicken Pie This chicken pie falls short of expectations with a soggy bottom and tasteless filling, resulting in an overall below average experience
Price: Not only will you be delighted by the generous portions of food, but you'll also find the prices to be quite reasonable.
Service: The service crew's thoughtfulness in automatically serving plain water for guests is worth complimenting, despite otherwise unremarkable service.
Environment: This restaurant offers a cozy and inviting environment, with plenty of nice spots to chill out and capture some great photos with...
Read moreI drive by this cafe almost every day but only recently became aware of its existence. Did a bit of searching to see what they served but didn't get as much info as I would've liked. Anywho, felt like having dessert one fine day and decided to check out the place. First off, the place has a nice stream of natural light coming in and that's always a plus for me. Didn't have the dark, dingy atmosphere that a lot of cafes seem to go for (not complaining, just saying). Ordered a slice of lemon cheesecake and added on a scoop of gelato to try. No drinks. Firstly, the cheesecake was...quite disappointing. It's quite a small slice for its price so I had higher expectations. It tasted nothing like lemon cheesecake 😔 In fact, it just tasted like regular cheesecake. Tanginess from the lemon was missing and the whipped cream on the cake was quite dry and lacked flavour. The cheesecake itself was subpar tbh. Maybe they don't specialise in making desserts but I do think that the price should match the quality of what is being served. RM18.90 a slice is a blatant overcharge. The gelato (RM12 a scoop, I think) was okay, don't think they're made in house tho. I requested to have some sprinkles on it as well. I might go again another time to try their other stuff and see if...
