Visited a few weeks ago out of curiosity when passing by. Some takeaways:
The food was actually and rather surprisingly, tasty and also well plated/presented. The prawn bisque was extremely flavorful but only much too salty for me. However I really enjoyed the signature Rasa Lama laksa and the portion was very generous.
The service staff were very willing and with a great attitude. The environment of the restaurant was clean and comfortable - nothing to complain about.
Given all the positives in this review, it may sound like this restaurant should be popular but it doesn't seem to be - we were there on a Friday night and were the only table for dinner in the entire restaurant. I think it's because the price-value ratio doesn't work out well. There was a 20% promotional discount when we went so the final bill was although leaning on the high side reasonably OK, but without the discount I don't see that it would be worth it for most diners especially compared to surrounding options. Comparably tasty alternatives with good service and environment are available at a lower price in the same area, or on the flip side, paying just a bit more could get a much more elevated fusion experience elsewhere. Just my 2 cents :) I enjoyed the laksa but won't see myself coming back just for that unfortunately, at least not at the regular...
Read moreThe coffee is pretty delicious but, the food is just horrible. This is the first time ever in my life that I had a grilled chicken that was dry and raw at the same time. Yes, it was RAW!! So raw the chicken is still crossing the road! If you look at the picture, it already looks hard and dry, even overcooked. But I was horrid to find the joint area was pink, hence impossible to separate! I complained, they just took the chicken back to cook it even more, so I ended up with the same piece of chicken, even dryer than the Sahara and now tougher than a piece of rubber. Moreover, this is supposed to be hainanese chicken rice, first time see the chicken so dark. The other food are pretty bland as well, lack seasonings. Do not recommend, worse place to eat in SS15, never coming back even for the...
Read moreFor a restaurant located in the middle of residential area, looks nothing out of the ordinary. That is until you try their delicacy, absolutely sumptuous, full of surprises in every dish.
Tried their famous Chicken Rotisserie, an absolute delight in every bite, I found myself licking every bone!
The surprise doesn’t stop there, what came next was their Duck Rendang, with flagrant coconut rice and coupled with out of this world tender duck drumstick, drenched in amazing rendang! A must try!
Not to forget the Broccoli, sounds innocent enough only in name, deceptively tasty with its savory sauce to go with the crunch of burnt broccoli, absolute...
