I recently tried Hot Bird Subang Jaya for the first time, and I have to say, it left a really good impression on me. I ordered the burger set with mild spicy, and it definitely hit the spot. The burger patty was surprisingly juicy, not dry at all, and you could really taste the freshness in every bite. The mild spicy sauce that came with it was well-balanced — it had just enough heat to give that extra kick without being overwhelming, which makes it perfect for people who want some spice but can’t handle it too fiery.
What I loved most was that they also gave the sauce separately on the side. Honestly, that was a smart move because it allowed me to adjust the level of sauce with every bite. Sometimes burgers get soggy when the sauce is too much, but this way, I could enjoy it exactly the way I wanted.
I also ordered the 6-piece nuggets, and to my surprise, they were juicy as well — not the dry, plain nuggets you usually get elsewhere. They paired perfectly with the same spicy sauce that came with the burger. It was such a good combo that I found myself dipping almost every piece just to savor that flavor.
On top of the good food, I have to mention that the staff here are really friendly and welcoming. They made the whole dining experience even better by being attentive and polite, which honestly adds so much value to the meal.
Overall, the food felt freshly prepared, the flavors were on point, the staff were warm, and the portions were satisfying. For me, the highlight was really the sauce and how it tied everything together. It’s not often that nuggets and burgers share the same sauce and both taste equally good with it, but Hot Bird managed to pull it off.
If you’re in Subang Jaya and craving a good chicken burger or nuggets with a nice kick of spice, I’d definitely recommend giving Hot Bird a try. I’ll surely be coming back to explore their other spice levels...
Read moreWe decided to come here instead after not being able to find a parking in another similar establishment in the area. Parking here is almost always horrendous and it's a very convincing deterrence for me but if you can overcome that, then you'll be in for a fried chicken treat. We ordered the 5 pieces fried chicken set meal that comes with a side serving of fries, coleslaw and 2 drinks of your choice. In addition, it also comes with 2 small servings of their house sauce. Beginning with the fried chickens, thighs and drumsticks lovers will be pleased as those are the only parts that they serve. Not only that, the chicken sizes are also commendable. I believe my chickens were deep fried on the go once I placed my order. This of course helped to keep them crispy, crunchy and hot when eaten. Taking my bite out of the chicken, I got to say that it was very well spiced and marinated. Although quite greasy, the meat was no doubt tender and juicy. They serve it with white bread to supposedly soak up any excess oils. I selected the medium spicy or simply called hot in their menu and I find it to be just the right intensity. The star for me was the fries which were nicely seasoned and perfectly crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The house sauce was alright and it goes well with your chickens or fries. The coleslaw was standard in its taste and texture. Overall, this place serves deliciously good fried chicken with fries that are also...
Read moreWe arrived at around 7:30 (the usual rush hour for SS15) and were told to wait around 20 minutes for a table- this is a usual SOP so we were okay. After that time period they told us to come in and order our food first, so we did as told and collected the receipt while waiting for the food to be ready. When I asked the waiter where our table was he said “there are a few tables upstairs so you should go sit before it gets taken up”. This made little sense to me because if they were noting down each table’s pax and then inviting them in accordingly, there should be a table in mind for us to sit, not clearing a few tables and telling us to try our luck. I then also asked the waiter is there a chance our table would get taken to which he said “yes, then you will need to wait longer for another table”.
Once the table was sorted we got our food fairly quickly, to which I found a hair in my chicken. Kudos to the staff to very quickly switched it out for me but it is still something worth noting in regards to sanitation of the restaurant.
Besides these two main points, the service from the staff was good and the food is in fact very tasty and worth a try. The signature spice isn’t too spicy and the sauces are a great pair. Just hoping that the seating system gets fixed because this can definitely cause further issues in the future and create animosity for customers who order food only for there not to be any...
