First time visiting, I'm gonna say it, I'm frankly very disappointed. I trust my fellow reviewers in that this place offers great kbbq and it seems fresh and good in the photos shared.

However, I had the bento lunch sets instead and the story could not be any more different from the alleged amazing kbbq.

A lot of the flak comes from their long waiting time as I had to wait over 40 minutes for my bento. The only plus points are the sweet fried chicken which is a literal optional add on from the bento, it's soft, tender, sweet & slightly crispy, great!

Now onto the bad. Everything given in the bento was at least mid or as I like to call it 'edible', the soy sauce chicken with it's accompanying mushroom was bland and tasteless even if it's coated with soy sauce. The glass noodles, kimchi, tofu and pancake were really mid. The vegetables don't taste fresh, all of it. The soup was so lacking in flavour I thought I was drinking plant water. The rice was just hard and chewy. Even the tea is pretty mid.

I will say however, the bento is super big and it's a pretty good price at rm23.2 per bento set. I will also say that I prefer heavier flavours and this light of a flavour may not be my preference, but I have eaten enough places to know that this isn't a light flavoured issue.

Overall, I would not come here again even tho the place may have good kbbq, it was a terrible first experience.

The worst dining experience ever.

The buffet price is insane! They have the audacity to charge the same as most Syabu Syabu restaurants like Sukishi but the buffet menu only provide you a few types of pork and chicken meat + the typical few Korean side dishes, no dessert and only rice tea as drink! Also, their pork meat aren't marinated, literally just straight out of the market cheap frozen meat.

The service is even worse! The waiters and owners can't speak English at all and they constantly just ignore you. It was so difficult to even refill more than once for the meat! After you have told the waiters that you want to refill the meat, they would say OK and then walk away to do other stuff without coming back to you anymore. The Korean owners are even worse, if you try to ask them for refill they will stare at you and then walk away! The Korean owners would drink with the other Koreans (I assume are their friends) and also cut the meat for them whereas for the other customers, they just give you the look that you should just quickly eat, pay, and leave.

The Korean side dishes are in front of the cash register, when I went to pay, I can see flies flying around the area, made me puke a bit in my mouth seeing how unhygienic it is.

Bottom line, lousy cheap food and poor customer service but super...

While the taste of the various cuts of pork was quite good, I find myself often wondering why did I went to a buffet with just 1 type of meat. I personally loved meat of all kinds and having just 1 single type continuously is kinda boring to the pallete. Both the thick cut pork belly and thinly sliced belly was good while the dark and spicy marinated meats was acceptable. Most of the banchan offered was also acceptable. Cold green tea drinks was served but there wasn't any desserts served.

However I find their service to be lacking with a couple workers runing around wasting time instead of bringing us our order of extra meats. This was just the 1st refill and they were already slow. Sure there wasn't a time limit when we were there but having to repeatedly order a few times to be served didn't leave much to be desired. But I have to be fair, as 2nd refill order were fulfilled much quicker by a different younger worker. On a side note, I find the manager or owner to have a rather unfriendly look. Pulling a long stern face to customers is often off-putting, with or without the tattoo. The price of the buffet was acceptable for the food.

Taste factor: 7/10 Return factor: Buckle up on the service and try to...

We went here for the RM 35.90 buffet promotion (RM25.90 for kids) and to scope this new kbbq out! We were there on Thursday evening at 6.30pm so the place was not too crowded. More people started arriving after 7pm and I felt like that affected the service time. The menu can be improved so that non native Korean speakers can understand. An example would be having English translation for the different types of meat. Not all meats are raw, some are served to you cooked. I also feel that the servers should have briefed upon serving that you are able to help yourself to the refillable side dishes located near the counter. I'm saying this cause I felt patronized by the server when I asked if he could refill the kimchi and he said 'you can refill it yourself at the back'. I was a little taken aback just because I didn't know there was a refill station at the back. The food was alright. Meat and veg can be dry if you leave it on the grill for long. The various side dishes were great although I have a preference for only a few of them. Besides the buffet, you have the option to order a set bbq or ALA carte. Indoors are air-conditioned but halfway through our meal, it felt slightly hot.

Sottukkung Brothers is a brand new Korean BBQ place in SS15! They've gotten really popular recently, so it can get busy sometimes even though they have a lot of seating. Right now, they have a promotion for all-you-can-eat option for only 35.9 MYR per person, which comes out to around 45 MYR with tax. This is pretty similar to other Korean BBQ places in the area but unlike some other restaurants, Sottukkung Brothers lets you eat all you want for that price, no time limit! They also have delicious meats and serve 9 yummy traditional Korean side dishes with your meal. The staff at Sottukkung Brothers are usually friendly, but things can get a little slow when the restaurant is packed. While some staff might not speak much English, most can speak Chinese, and a few even speak Korean. One thing to keep in mind is that their menu is currently only in Korean, without pictures or much explanation. This could be a bit tricky if you're new to Korean food or don't read Korean. (They have English name too but just only food’s name)
