A recently opened big chain Muslim Indian eatery which offers a variety of popular local dishes which are popular at all times around the clock. This place has since picked up the slack in human traffic especially among families for dinner on weekends. There are other branches of this place besides this outlet beyond Subang Jaya.
I decided to cycle out to this place with my kid for some dinner since the mom was out of town for work. It was convenient that we could find permanent fixtures across the street along the covered pedestrian walkway to secure the bicycles. Do come a little earlier as we discovered as the crowd comes in a little later after sunset. We were lucky to be there before the families came in.
We ordered a few varieties of dishes that is typically popular at these places and the dishes came quite quickly. The kitchen staff could be observed furiously prepping food during our entire time there as more patrons came in. The food ordered was better than expected especially from a newly established eatery. The place was also tidy and clean as this was still relatively new. There's also an air conditioned area within for patrons but we decided to wing it sitting al frescõ since it rained earlier and the air smelt freshly scrubbed by the monsoon downpour earlier.
All in all, the food here was as good as you can get from the better Muslim Indian eateries typically found around the Klang Valley. The best part was the entirely reasonable pricing for all the food we ordered. For around less than the cost of two happy meals from a popular fast food eatery, we had double the equivalent in food ordered. Very...
Read moreIt's beautiful here, so clean and bright. We had a Pani poori set, tandoori chicken, naan biasa, roti canai. Teh halia was warm and full of ginger juice. Nice. The rotis were alright but I particularly enjoyed the tandoori chicken which was soooo juicy, though VERY spicy tonight. Lovely with a squeeze of lime and slice of raw onion. Lots of flavours, zingy and lively, like this place.
Update: Just one day later, our opinion has changed of this mamak. Not for the better. Orders taken were confused and needed intervention. Satti soru was extremely spicy, chicken and egg had a strange metallic tang. Thosai was HARD, not crispy. ABC was difficult to stomach, the shaved ice was practically a solidified ice ball and the syrup tasted off. Capati was alright and the mashed potato was fine. Price still very cheap though. In future, perhaps will just come back and order the basics in a nice ambiance.
May 2024 came back for the capati. Had a nasi goreng. Omg ....overly salty😞 July 2024 Maggie kari was tasteless, capati ok.
Wide open space makes this place very windy, so cool at night that I need to...
Read moreDecided to go here for dinner as I wanted to try a different outlet of Hathija Maju. To my surprise, it was a wise decision!
Located at the corner lot, the shop was so spacious + airy! It was like dining under the skies as I could feel its wind. Accompanied by the sound of the trains at the nearby LRT station, it has two big screens where eateries could enjoy watching football match comfortably. However, the table arrangements were quite close to each other, making it difficult for me to move once the shop was starting to fill with more pax.
Similar to other branches, it offered various menu. Service as usual was good + the food was okay (I ordered beef fried rice mamak style). It was super convenient for me to make the payment as it offered cashless payment.
All-in-all, it was definitely a good place to hangout - the dirty plates were picked up quickly + the toilets were also clean despite no specific gender. Please plan your visit wisely to avoid irritation to...
