Honestly, I googled this page before driving home after tapao-ing BKT from Ming Siang, being ready to leave a honest review about 'how I regret buying BKT from Ming Siang'.... But I was wrong.
Firstly, it began when I walked into the wrong BKT shop along this row, last night. I usually frequent another corner-alley BKT shop few shops away (I will keep the names out, in respect of this shop's review).
And last night, I googled the shop next to Ming Siang, and saw the glowing reviews. I ACCIDENTALLY walked into Ming Siang, thinking it was the other shop.
The lady boss (not the elder lady), was as another reviewer here said.. In lack of better words... "LCLY", as first. But now that I think back, maybe she was just tired. Or its just her personality? But anyway.. Moving on to the food and taste.
Another reviewer here said "tasteless".. Honestly, it is NOT tasteless. - It is just less oily, less salty, and just more 清. Which is GREAT for me! Because I hate overly salty and MSG 'thirsty-after-food' type of food.. And whenever I eat something 'fattening' like BKT, I feel even worse eating the salty and 'heavy tasting' BKT.. So I really love Ming Siang's BKT, which is more 清. Good job, Aunties. Haha.
NOW, for the pricing and portion, which I'm not too satisfied with... Well.. Pricing isn't too far off from the other BKT shop I usually frequent, and also, Ming Siang's portion is a little lesser, compared to the other shop. Even their rice portion is SMALL! 2 person portion of rice at Ming Siang's is equivalent to double the rice portion at the other BKT shop! Even the meat portion for 1 pax is slightly lesser, compared to my frequent corner-alley BKT shop.
My Small Honest and Sincere FEEDBACK is - Just add about 10-15% more of rice portion for each portion. (Come on, we know you are using normal white rice 😋, it's not that expensive in cost, considering your pricing).. And add maybe about 5% more of meat to your portion per pax. I believe that would be more justified, for the current pricing here at Ming Siang.
Other than that, I don't see why there should not be more better reviews here.. I would definitely be coming back again, for my next BKT. Hope to see the good improvements! Keep it up,...
Read moreFirst time trying this Bah Kut Teh shop in Subang. Wanted to try another shop but saw this shop along the way and smells pretty good so gave it a try. The soup bah kut teh gives a more subtle taste nothing too strong, yet there's good amount of herbs taste in it. While for the dry bah kut teh it was really tasty with very good flavours. The portion for both were pretty decent and quite filling. They also sells different kinds of Fish Head which looks really good as well. Not to mention, the cook is an auntie and an old lady which gives this meal a very home cook taste. Definitely worth the try if you're in the area and want to try something new and tastes home cook!

Read moreI was here to buy a prayer item. My normal regular bkt shop was a distance away. I was too lazy to walk, thus just popped into this shop to get my bkt fix. 1st time. Order pork ribs and soft bones. Since there were only 2 tables occupied, my order came shortly in a claypot. The rice was served on a plate. I would have preferred eating from a bowl. Rice is dried and not sticky. The meat volume was ok but overcooked thus on the dried side. I regret not taking the trouble to walk the distance to my favourite shop. This shop also sells curry fish heads as printed on the signage. Don't think I will come back. Parking can...
