Secret Recipe Subang Parade — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

I order 4pcs(min order) cake from grab today, and now I really regret it. This is my first time having their cake after 1&half yr. In the previous time, SR is my fav cake shop. But now, maybe bcoz of mco they cut some costs, the cakes are terrible, and all taste like stored for a long time🤢

I bought wildberry cheesecake, creme brulee cheese, chocolate chip walnut & tiramisu. I have tried the first three of them,

Wildberry taste too sweet, jam sweet, cream cheese sweet, crust also sweet & soft

Creme brulee taste sweet, crust sweet & soft

Choco chip walnut taste sweet, the cake was dry, the cream was greasy. 🤢

Tiramisu havent try yet, but I alrd give up.

All cake taste sickly sweet, i really can’t finish up one pcs, half is my bottom line. Healthy diets is a trends now, you guys should think a new plan for it, Greasy & over sweetened food is gonna fall behind. You can buy better cake in this price, just spend your money...

Slight disappointed with the signature fried rice, it is served with satay, salad and a fried rice, the satay is ok, quite tasty, the salad does not come with dressing, but overall is refreshing, the fried rice however is way too bland that is almost tasted bad, for a signature dishes it definitely need more improvise. Portion of fried rice is small, but because it don't really taste well, so it doesn't matter much.

Also order a beef noodles, overall is ok, broth is quite thick, but can do better with more flavour, slightly too much of fried onion even thou I'm a fans of fried onion, but for beef noodles, I would prefer the broth to be rich on beef stock than fried onion, the portion is good, plenty of noodles, meat balls and also good amount of slice beef.

The restaurant can be a warm at times, hope they can improvise...

Packed some of my favourite slices of Recipe cakes from the friendly staff to celebrate a small birthday event, but to my ghastly surprise - the first piece of cake peeked out of the freshly opened box - dog eared. So I thought to myself , “It’s ok it’s just a little folded at the edge” - the chocolate banana slice still taste great as it always do!”. Then came the horror in piece number two - the Chocolate Walnut slice was pock marked on the side - an uneven slice that crumbled the sides with holes! Fortunately I am not buying this for a loved one, but for myself, otherwise I would be put in a tight spot.. NOTE TO SELF: NEVER BUY SECRET RECIPE SLICES from this outlet if you are buying this...
