Located in Puchong, Skinny Dip is a delightful eatery that offers a unique and diverse menu of western food, cakes, and coffee. The restaurant has a cozy and relaxing ambiance that is perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed afternoon meal. I recently visited Skinny Dip and was blown away by the excellent service, mouth-watering food, and friendly staff.
Firstly, I ordered the Asam Laksa Fried Rice, and it was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my visit. The dish had a unique taste that was not too sour, but more like a tomyum fried rice, and it was surprisingly delicious. The Asam Laksa Fried Rice was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of spiciness that made it a joy to eat. The dish was well-presented, and I could tell that the chef put a lot of effort into making it.
Next, I ordered the grilled chicken, and I must say, it did not disappoint. The chicken looked oily at first, but I was assured that it was sundried olive oil, which made it healthy and safe to eat. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the grill vegetable sides that accompanied it were flavorful and delicious. The presentation of the dish was lovely, and I could tell that the chef paid attention to every detail.
One thing that stood out to me about Skinny Dip was the owner's willingness to go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. Although the menu did not have hot honey lemon, the owner was very accommodating and created something off the menu for us. This gesture made our experience at Skinny Dip even more memorable and made us feel like valued customers.
The service at Skinny Dip was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The ambiance was cozy, and the decor was tastefully done, making it a great place to hang out with friends or family. The menu was diverse, and there were plenty of options for people with different dietary preferences.
Lastly, I must mention that I did not get a chance to try their cakes and coffee during my visit, but based on my experience with their food, I am confident that they will be just as great. I will definitely be coming back to try out their cakes and coffee.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Skinny Dip to anyone looking for a great place to enjoy western food, cakes, and coffee. Their food is delicious, and the service is outstanding. The ambiance is cozy, and the staff is friendly, making it a great place to hang out with friends or family. I will definitely be back to try out more of their menu items. Thank you, Skinny Dip, for an...
Read moreAn odd combination of pasta and porridge can be found at Skinny Dip Puchong Café Restaurant, Bandar Puchong Jaya. Once I sat down I was presented with a pictorial menu that showed you how every dish would look like. This is definitely not your typical cafe as the menu displays a randomness of western and Nyonya dishes. Snug in between are two Porridge dishes of Mum's Fried Porridge and Curry Porridge. It was a toss up between the highly recommended lemongrass marinated chicken chop with pesto-cranberry rice or ordering the chicken chop in its own and complementing it with an Aglio Olio. I really did not feel like having rice in the morning so I went with the pasta and chicken separately. For my mother, it was the Mum's Fried Porridge as we both were really curious about it.
I did not like the chicken chop that was filled with the overwhelming lemongrass taste. On top of that, chopped lemongrass was sprinkled and grilled together with the chicken. It was just too much of that lemongrass taste. If that is up your alley, you'll like this grilled chicken chop with lemongrass.
The fried porridge did live up to its recommended status. It was a bowl of savory goodness with what I can only assume to be bits of pre-fried dried cuttlefish and minced chicken. It was a joy to chew on those bits of cuttlefish to extract whatever was left of its flavor. You are deceived to assume that the portion was small because it was finished in no time.
There was nothing much to say about the Aglio Olio with the pasta made up mostly 99% of the plate and the rest were just bits and pieces of mushrooms. It's not a bad dish, it was a savory pasta dish that went well with some grilled chicken.
With an iced caramel latte and an ice lemongrass tea (not mine), the bill came up to RM90. The coffee is good and strong for the price of...

Atmosphere: 4🌟 Quite comfy and air conditioned. Tables can be a bit close between each other. Decent place to chill and hang out a bit.
Service: 4🌟 Pretty good and friendly service.
Food: The Big Breakfast 3.5🌟 Ordered with additional scrambled egg given in a separate plate. Like the baked beans being separated in a bowl. Wedges still has its potato skins taste good and nice texture. It's also sprinkled with cheese like the well charred tomato which tastes good too. The bread is crispy and slightly buttered. Taste good when pair with mushrooms and scrambled egg. The eggs are done quite well, still kinda soft and fluffy. The mushroom has a very strong ingredient flavour which I love. The chicken sausages are also nice and flavorful. Priced at Rm 30+ for normal, Rm 36+ for additional scrambled eggs.
Drinks: Belgian-Swiss Choc 3.25🌟 I thought supposed to be dark chocolate but it's actually very sweet. Priced at Rm 14+
