Read moreWith the onslaught of the pandemic still on going, a lot of restaurants at Setia Walk have sadly fallen and folded. Tipsy Brew O'Coffee however seems to have weathered this storm really well. This place was packed when I got there. My brother has good things to say about this cafe so I decided to drop by for the first time. For a cafe with limited seating capacity, their menu is quite extensive ranging from the breakfast offerings to local food selections. Of course, an extensive list of coffee is expected.
I went with the creamy chicken breast with strips of smoked ham (I assume) and the iced hazelnut latte. The chicken breast was surprisingly juicy, not overcooked. The meat texture was tender and easy to consume. I finished it in no time. I was just slightly disappointed as in the menu it was stated that the dish comes with sourdough bread. But what I got was a tiny bun that was definitely not a piece of sourdough bread. As I didn't feel like asking and may end up debating with somebody in the restaurant, I just let it slide. I just wanted a place to eat peacefully and quietly on a Sunday afternoon. The hazelnut latte was fine and I wouldn't mind ordering it again in future. I have had better hazelnut latte of course.
I am very curious about their local food and cake selection so I will definitely make my way back to Tipsy Brew O'Coffee again on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Just not sure what tipsy has got to do with coffee though. I didn't feel tipsy at all after consuming that glass of hazelnut latte. Not that I would...
Read moreSo so so dissapointed. Feels like everything was a day light robbery. Unfortunately though the food flavour was okay with portion that's not enough to make you feel full, it does not tally to the quality of the coffee and the overall price you pay for the meal. Iced Latte was a small cup and you pay rm14 for a short milk glass. Coffee taste was sour and acidic, you might as well get the same quality coffee from Starbucks for more amount.
You pay more for the ambience than for your meal. The staff overall made me quite claustrophobic as they stood next to our table and watched our reactions for our meals. Understandably the cafe is small, but we do feel like were being watched and it's hard to enjoy our food. Overall will not come back here again. The price is crazy, the meal is only okay, but as a cafe that is known to have "prestige coffee brewing methods", the taste and amount of coffee you get is really not worth it....
