Went here to dine in at 11am (today) and ordered dabao for 1 person too, the cashier given a coaster pager once ready to collect from cashier, normally dabao will take 10-15 mins when we finishing our noodles in 40mins noted the coaster pager was silent and food has been almost served for all dine in guests. My daughter went in to check with the cashier, she told her the kitchen is preparing wait for coaster pager alarm, 10mins later I'm went in to ask the cashier whether my dabao noodle is ready and I'm very frustrated that saw her taking the bowl from behind table (almost 1 hour there, saw a bowl clip with my ordered w/o ppl handling it) and walked to the kitchen without any apologies for the delay or being mishandling. Why the 1st follow-up they told my daughter the kitchen is preparing it and this lady has a very poor attitude with poor handling system. Noted this restaurant has a very poor services and very unprofessional. The management or Supervisor should look into it and observe in dailies to improve their services. The lady cashier must have a courtesy smile too (EVERYONE HAVE A LCLY LOOKS AT THE COUNTER because the business...
Read moreYee Men serves me at the counter - a bit of a language barrier. Business is good and overheard another patron mentioning that lunch hour queue seems to be normal.
There are no paper napkins provided at each table as what other similar reputable restaurants will have - a bit of an inconvenience.
When ordering, the cashier will put bits of strands of noodles in the bowl to inform the kitchen what is the customer’s order choice. I find that a bit unhygienic because they handle the till and at the same time handle food? Does the little bits of strands of noodles get served in my bowl as well? I actually hadn’t made my choice when the cashier puts the noodle strands in my bowl. They also have ongoing promotion whereby if you’d give 5 stars review on Google before payment, you’d get a small bowl of snacks for free (now I know how all the 5 stars review came along now)
Honestly, I’ve had better pork noodles elsewhere in Puchong. So my final review after having had the noodles would be just 3 stars at most. The portion is a lot and the soup taste good when hot but not exactly as flavourful as I would have thought in my initial...
Read moreThis place is all about the star attraction of the excellent char siew wan tan mee (bbq roasted pork and dumpling noodles) served up by an unassuming stall at the side.
While the noodles and dumplings are nothing to write home about, the char siew on the hand will get you delivering an encyclopedia's worth of tasting experience back to your house. It's really that good, and the best part is this comes without the trappings of all the other popular food outlets such as super large crowds and sky-high prices.
You can usually expect brief waiting times, and the prices are more than reasonable for the delicious roasted meat slices served up. If you're looking for a hearty breakfast, this corner restaurant has got you covered.
Also drinks are pretty good! And the other stalls are there should you feel like ordering extra to go with your noodles. But please try the char...
