Having my house under renovation and not knowing exactly when it would be completed forced me to find temporary accommodation near my property. Something comfortable, clean yet affordable. Hotel 99 in Bandar Puteri Puchong seemed to fit my budget when booked under Agoda. Plenty of street parking and next to so many eateries, grocers and even a small mall. Wonderful. However, a review l read abt the hotel rooms there before booking is really true. The smell. The moment l stepped into the room l was allocated, l was rather taken aback by the strong smell. Wonder what chemical they used to sanitise their rooms. Thank God l was ready with my container of baking soda. Yes, folks. Just a simple opened container of the wonder powder was able to absord that strong smell and do the trick after a few minutes. After all, l had booked to stay for 11 nights. Well, the room was just nice for a solo guest like me. However, the walls separating each room is not so sound proof so be ready for some annoyance from the neighbouring rooms. The service provided by the staff is just so-so. My check-in was not so pleasant as l was given a room with a hideous damaged wall. I immediately went back to the counter to demand a change of room. Yup, that's right, folks. Voice out and don't just accept whatever rooms they give you. Good thing my demand was fulfilled and l was allocated another 'decent' room. You need to request for house-keeping at the counter. And FYI, only one pillow is provided for single rooms. I believe you have to pay for any additional pillow request. One final thing - they only provide lousy channels on TV. Nothing entertaining so be prepared to watch Netflix on your phone. By the way, the wifi connection is pretty good. So no worries abt that. Read moreI booked 2 rooms with window. The room published as window but receptionist deny it is a window room and said it is my mistake see wrongly. I told her it is wrong advertisement to feedback to management not push blame to guest mistake.After check in, i realised no TV channel signals. Rang the receptionist , she said the whole hotel tv channel is already not functioning for long because the maintenance still not coming to fix it. The issue should have been informed upon check in so guest could still have the choice to cancel it immediately.The water heater is not really functioning, it is still acceptable to shower after return to hotel after the whole day long hot day but it is really unacceptable to let guest shower in the morning, freezing cold.Overall the experience was not good.
