Long-standing kopitiam in this part of Pusat Bandar Puchong (Lotus's side).
This review is on two of the stalls - curry fish head and bean sprouts chicken.
Curry Fish Head - Score 4.5/5
RM23 for a small claypot of 5-6 pieces of fresh meaty chopped fish head complemented with fair quantity of taupok, okra, long beans, brinjal and cabbage served piping hot in rich and creamy curry. A plate of plain rice charged separately at RM1.80. Orders are cooked on the spot. This stall also sells steamed fish which I may try in the future. Daily 5pm-10pm except Mondays.
Bean Sprouts Chicken - Score 4/5
Bean sprouts chicken ala Ipoh-style sold by a very popular stall. Single portion of poached chicken thigh + taugeh + plain kway teow soup = RM8.50. Chicken despite being market chicken (ayam standard, not village chicken), has firm and good bite. Kway teow is smooth and silky - nice and delicious! Soup is tasty albeit not the "prawn oil" type. Taugeh is not sourced from Ipoh - not the short, plump and crunchy type - the missing factor in their repertoire. Daily 5pm till sold-out which can be as early as 730pm. So, come early to avoid disappointment if you want to try. Closed on Mondays.
Toilet Score: Acceptable

Read morethis restaurant opens from morning till night, but since i always came on lunch time only my review will gravitate towards the lunch part.
there's a lot of stalls here during lunch hour to cater to the working crowd, and the place is always packed, recommended to take away.
the chicken rice here is the famous "mun kei" chicken rice with charsiu and siewyoke (roast pork). its one of the branch stall and the other one is located in bandar puteri. their chicken rice stall is always busy and patrons and buying from them non stop.
other than that there's also a pork noodle stall (nothing special), a hakka luicha stall (never tried), charkuey teow / fried rice stall (nothing special), kampar chee cheong fun stall (can be kinda slow during lunch hour), hakka tai puh mee (never tried), popiah (average), kueyteoh soup (never tried), wantan mee (never tried), and mixed rice. the mixed rice is okay with around 10-15 dishes, the lady boss is really friendly and will thank you a lot for buying from her. the price is cheaper than a lot of the usual mixed rice shop out there. there's also a small stall operated beside the counter which sells a variety of kuih.
parking is not hard to find here. overall this place is...
Read moreOne of the older coffee shops this side of the LRT, in Pusat Bandar Puchong. The place has not changed much since many years back, though I'm not sure of the owners. It's not the cleanest of them all, but it's not dirty too. Parking is there, not like the others in the same area. Not handicap friendly, especially with the MCO SOP's. I went there for the fish head curry, which shifted from another coffee shop up the road that turned into a mix rice shop. There are other choices of food n drinks available, but not as many as those others up the road. So, if there's nothing suitable here, there's always 4 more busy coffee shops to choose from, if you are in the area. This coffee shop is definitely catered for regulars. Not so busy, but I'm not sure about morning's, as there are a few stalls that are not operating in the evenings. Just for the fish head curry, it's worth...
