Two words. Too. Good.
After walking a lap around this (mostly abandoned) mall which offers niche hobby shops, specialised services, and lots of office buildings, I was truly shocked to find such an amazing restaurant in setiawalk.
From afar, the “cafe” looked ordinary. That was until I took a closer look at their menu which offered Mediterranean cuisine. What a rare find!
Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted kindly and staff were prompt and polite. Service was 10/10.
I ordered the lamb with rice and the fish and chips. The rice was fragrant but also delicately made so that the flavours blended together instead of it feeling like separate components. The chickpea slaw was delicious. Chickpeas were soft which I appreciate a lot, and the lamb were tender and well seasoned. The yogurt is a nice addition to balance out the spices of the lamb. All the ingredients of the dish works very well together and is the first time in a long time that made me wanted to devour everything on the plate and kept wishing for another bite.
The fish and chips also had me very impressed. Fries were crispy and fish was well battered and seasoned nicely. Everything came out hot at the same time. What impressed me the most was the tartare sauce and the slaw dressing. It tasted ‘homemade’ (restaurant made) where the dill and lemon really shined instead of the mayo which is the case with most pre-made tartare sauce. The slaw on the other hand, again tasted homemade. The dressing had hints of chilli and strong acidity. I usually dislike salad/slaws with dressing as they usually consists of bv, or some seed oil heavy base with no depth of flavour but the slaw made here was absolutely fresh and flavourful!
I came in with high expectations and were they were met by the skill and care the chefs in this restaurant had. Compliments to the chefs! 👨🍳 truly a hidden gem, I wish this establishment the best despite its less than ideal location. As for myself, I will...
Read moreHorrible food, and I think it seems like they don't care about feedback. I've been eating here 3 times and this is the 3rd time because I live in this area. My first time experiencing the food was horrible too, but I gave my feedback. The ingredients were not fresh, had weird smells, and absolutely bad taste. After I gave my feedback the cashier just asked me back, why I didn't ask earlier so that they could change the food. Ingredients would be the same so I just think there is no need and I lost my appetite already.
A few months after that I went for a second visit, hoping they might have changed because I was craving a Burger but then the same things happened. I gave my feedback again and same response from the cashier.
So, coming to today a year after my second visit I was wondering how and why this cafe is still here. So I thought maybe they have improved their food already and decided to order a pizza. What could’ve gone wrong with such a simple meal, right?
Nope! I got scammed for the third time now. Should’ve just ordered from Pizza Hut to save money and enjoy my dinner.
Instead, I got soggy pizza, with super minimal cheese, unfresh capsicum, canned pineapple, and smelly chicken at RM20.90. I swear to God, I got one bite that tasted super weird and I had to spit it out back on a tissue.
Whatever is going on here from now on that I won't be a part of ever again if you guys want a fully booked reservation like other cafes please do something. My experience eating here is completely frustrating again and again, hoping for a change. Remember, surviving this way is not an achievement but a failure in disguise.
I am so glad Richiamo opened here, if not I would always need to order in or go outside to eat. Even though their food also not freshly cooked but it tastes good and decent at least. You guys just simply serve unfresh food disguised as freshly...
Read moreHubby brought me her for our Valentine’s dinner. It’s quiet , clean with a little rustic ambiance. Waitress very friendly and observant. Limited but specific menu. Price is reasonable. Food came in 10-15 minutes.
Really caught us by surprise with the huge flavor of the food. If you are a person who loves strong flavour , I would suggest the jambalaya dish. We had barramundi instead of salmon. And the fish was cooked to perfection - not dry but moist. perfectly goes so well with the jambalaya and the special sauce at the side.
The pulled lamb spaghetti was good, not too heavy but unfortunately the egg was overcooked and the lamb shreds was a little dry. If the poached egg was cooked just nice , it would be wonderful. The dish had a little tangy twist , it gets slightly spicy as u eat. So overall it’s really good , portion wise is also reasonable- just nice 😌 The waitress saw us sharing our food and she voluntarily gave us a plate. Very very thoughtful ❤️
For beverages , i would recommend the mint lemonade, super refreshing to end of the meal. I would come back here to try other dishes as well. Highly...
