There are very few places open for lunch in KT, so this was one of them that caters to the hungry lunch crowd.

There's a sort of an organised chaotic system going on here. You take your plate, fill it with rice and then jostle with everyone else who won't queue for any of the dishes displayed. You'll have to know what you want in order to get them quick.

The queue for the staffs to "kira" your dishes was so long and crowded, that we went back to our table, and took pictures of the food. One if us went to the table to show them the picture of the food we've taken, get a receipt on how much to pay, then walk to the cashier counter to pay.

There's no one regulating whether if you've paid or not, so they operate mainly on faith that you're a good customer who will pay for what you eat.

Food taste was so - so. What they do win big on is the variety of dishes offered. From grilled meats, to fried meats, to ulam-ulam, sup daging/tulang, from vegetables to seafood to loads of fried stuff. My own plate + one bowl of Sup tulang cost me RM 25. Sotong goreng was pretty tough and over cooked.

What was a big turn off for us was the fact that all dishes were laid out in the open for people to look over, talk over the dishes as they ask each other what the other wants - what's this yadda3x etc, and after pawing them here and there before deciding they didn't want it, gave us the creeps.

Super limited parking around this area. We took a Grab, made life easier. Good to visit if you have no other choice for food. But I doubt we'd be coming...

Family of 4; arrived 11am. June 2025.

First time here, found one lot at the front parking. There were also parking on the road outside or behind the bldg. Place was half full & they were roasting meat & chicken at the front; looks smoking good! First, u collect ur tray, plates & go for the rice & everything else! They had so much food variations u cannot take all, it is so hard to gv up some food. We had 1 tray for 4 plates of rice & another tray for all the lauk & ulam. Yes, they had various types of sambal sauces; be spoilt people! Come with ur trays to the cashier & they will cost out for payment. Drinks to be ordered at another counter, the payment counter. This is where u order ur drinks & make payment for the food as well. They had adequate hand-washing points & oh, a lunchtime acoustic performance, which creates a more casual experience. *good band they were. The food was good, many variations esp seafood. The fried squid was a bit tad tough, perhaps they can cook longer to get more tenderness in every bite! The veggies & raw bites that comes with mouth-watering sambal sauces had a good spread. Again, u just cannot take all. Total cost slightly steep owing to the fact that they had a big spread of food variations & the quality of each dish. It's like a buffet spread but u only pay for what u take. By the time we were done, it was lunch time & realised the place was full with a queue! Thank you Restoran Singgang Budu, we had...

On February 2, 2025, my friend and I visited Terengganu and decided to have lunch at Mayang Mall. On our way, we noticed a large crowd at a nearby restaurant despite the light rain, which piqued our interest. The restaurant operated buffet-style, offering a variety of seafood, fresh vegetables, fried chicken, and other delicious dishes. It was self-service; we filled our plates with rice, vegetables, seafood, fish, chicken, and more.

The restaurant was bustling with patrons. We were instructed to leave our plates on the table and take a photo of our selections to show at the counter for billing. The staff used these photos to calculate the total cost, and I was surprised when my meal amounted to over RM60, with a small serving of squid (sotong) alone costing RM30. I brought the squid to the counter and questioned the price. The staff explained that the photo made the portion appear larger than it was. After some discussion, they offered a RM5 discount, but I opted to return the squid instead.

I suggested that the restaurant display price tags for transparency, allowing customers to be aware of the costs before selecting their food. Despite the pricing issue, the food and environment were enjoyable, though most dishes were served cold, with only the rice being hot. The live band created a pleasant atmosphere, and we appreciated the overall experience. However, implementing clearer pricing would enhance customer...
