I have visited MALHAR LUNCH HOME and believe me this place serves excellent food quality. Talking about Ambiance it was so amazing and one can fall in love with the decor. The interior was so well maintained that literally, you will click some of them for memories. The staff were well knowledgeable as suggestions from them were very helpful. This place is mainly known for its THALI and especially for Non-Veg dishes. I have ordered 2 mocktails one was Classic Mojito🥛was so refreshing that I opened my mind. The pudina and lemon syrup mixed with a soft drink make this more amazing. Another was Kiwi Margarita🍹kiwi punch was perfectly crushed and the taste was fabulous. Then we ordered Panner Srilanka🍣 was shocked the first time have saw Panner dishes with Tadka on it. This was a chef special recommended by staff and was worth it. Onion Tadka with Sri Lankan curry was the best part of this dish. Finally, we ordered Malhar House Special Veg Thali🍱 which includes 3 sabji (Allo, panner, and matar mushroom) then Dal rice along with fried papad. Thali also includes masala chass and curd with Gulab jamun. They serve 2 roti with it which I can say is more than sufficient. At last, in the desert, we ordered my all-time favourite Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream which was as good as always. But the best part was the liquid chocolate which was thick with vanilla ice cream and brownie it was marvellous. Can say quantity is sufficient for 2 people and also value for money is decent. If you are looking for something good with Thali can visit this place, especially non-vegetarians as they have a lot of varieties of dishes which they can enjoy. You can visit this place with your loved ones and family as they have enough sitting capacity. They have two floors where you can enjoy your meal. The service was quick and also proper hygiene was observed. Must visit this place once it might become your favourite. Service - 4.9/5 Quality - 4.9/5 Taste - 4.9/5 Value for Money -...
Read moreThe place is located in Mira Road 🛣️ inside the city 🏙️ you have to take 🛺 auto from the railway station and ask for Fire 🚒 Brigade area it's walkable from there. The restaurant is well known for its sea food 🦐 in different cuisine like Srilankan, Mangalorean etc you must explore the food here. The ambience ✨ is for proper dining, you can come here with a group of friends 👭🧑🤝🧑 or family 👪.
The food that we tried over here was :
Srilankan Prawns 🍤 - It's a fried prawns 🍤 covered in a very thick yellowish gravy with a small pieces of green chilly 🌶️ (The quantity is enough for 3-4 people as it contains 12 pieces of prawns 🦐)
Appam/Palappam - So instead of roti 🫓 you must try here appam, it's a South Indian roti like a fluffy pancakes made of fermented rice 🍚 and coconut.
Irre meen kaat Pulimunchi - So in Irre Meen Kaat there are 2 options one is Green Masala and the other is Pulimunchi, the process of making it was the same (Fish marinated and covered with masala and covered with a big single leaf from outside and cooked with steam) but the content of it was different. I wanted to go ahead with something tangy (It tastes like rassam but is thick and more spicy), in fish I choose the pomfret 🐠 (They have option in size of the fish as well, accordingly the price varies). I chose the smallest one enough for two people.
Bharlela Bombil - So Bombil is a type of fish which has very few bones 🩻, so it's basically the fish filled from inside with some green masala further deep fried.
The above food is more than enough for 2 people, along with this I tried Kokkum mocktail and Sweet & Salt 🍋 Lemonade. They further have the dessert options in the menu itself.
The staff is very welcome from the time you enter the restaurant the gate keeper, the waiter everyone. You must visit this place if you are a non-veg eater or a sea food lover 🐙.
In case you need any help with the location or the menu you can definitely comment here I'll help...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Malhar Tribe, a charming Konkan restaurant located in Mira Road, renowned for its delectable seafood offerings. The ambiance of this restaurant is quaint and inviting, with a coastal vibe that instantly transports you to the Konkan coast. What struck me the most was its proximity to the highway, making it easily accessible for travelers passing through.
The service at Malhar Tribe is impressively swift, ensuring that your culinary journey is not only delicious but also efficient. To start my meal, I opted for their refreshing drinks – the Kokam Twist, a fizzy kokum sherbat with soda, and the Virgin Sangria, which was bursting with the flavors of fresh fruits. Both were excellent choices to whet the appetite.
Moving on to the starters, the Prawns Srilankan were a creamy delight, featuring king-sized prawns bursting with flavor. The Chicken Ghee Roast was a spicy treat, generously infused with pure ghee, and paired perfectly with soft appams and neer dosa.
The highlight of my visit was the Surmai Fish Thali, a feast fit for two. The gravies in the thali were a burst of masaledar flavors, with a rich, thick consistency. The Surmai, a fresh catch of the day, was tawa-fried to perfection. The Sole Kadi served as a subtle and refreshing palate cleanser.
It's worth noting that all the seafood dishes I enjoyed at Malhar Tribe were made from fresh catches of the day, ensuring the highest quality. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to seafood enthusiasts and anyone looking for an authentic Konkan dining experience. Malhar Tribe's combination of delightful flavors, cozy ambiance, fast service, and accessibility makes it a must-visit destination for those seeking a taste of the...
