Disappointing Experience – Poor Service & Miscommunication

I really wanted to enjoy my experience here, but unfortunately, it was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I’ve had.

From the start, service was disorganized. It took 30 minutes just to take our food order, even though we mentioned we were happy to order food with our drinks. Meanwhile, two other tables who arrived after us were served before us, which was incredibly frustrating. The waitress kept giving excuses that she didn’t know the menu because she usually worked in the kitchen—while I understand that, it’s not an excuse for such slow and inconsistent service.

When my drink finally arrived 20 minutes later, I found black mint floating in it, which was completely unappetizing. On top of that, we had specifically confirmed via Facebook that sashimi was included in the all-you-can-eat menu, only to be told it wasn’t when we got there. After they double-checked and admitted it was included, they served red snapper instead of the salmon that was promised in the message.

After waiting a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food, we finally gave up and left. At that point, we had completely lost patience and appetite. They are lucky we still paid for our drinks instead of just walking out.

During our recent visit to a charming seaside restaurant nestled in the picturesque village of Birżebbuġa, we were warmly welcomed and seated on the terrace with stunning views overlooking the sea. The ambiance was serene and inviting—perfect for a leisurely afternoon meal.

On the recommendation of our attentive server, we selected two bottles of crisp white wine, which paired beautifully with the generous seafood platter we shared among three guests. The platter was a true celebration of the sea, featuring a vibrant assortment of mussels, clams, langoustines, prawns, scallops, octopus, and perfectly fried calamari. Each element was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared.

A standout aspect of our experience was the restaurant’s exceptional hospitality—not just toward us, but also toward our dog. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, offering her a bowl of water and even a portion of food. Such thoughtful gestures are rare and deeply appreciated by pet owners and animal lovers alike.

Overall, this seaside gem in Birżebbuġa delivered a memorable dining experience marked by excellent service, exquisite seafood, and genuine warmth. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a relaxed yet refined...

The food is fresh and tasty but service is tragedy. We ordered starters and main ones. Once they brought us starters no cutlery provided.. you need to remind waiter many times to bring them. They are too busy to pay antention to you. After it the main ones came. My mom ordered fresh fish, roasted potateos and vegetables. Waitress assured that is small portion for one person, however they brought us 2 plates of it and said it should be divided into 2 plates... Salads and potatoes to it came after 30 mins, after reminding them 3 times to do it. Again no catlery for main courses.. This fish coasted 38 eur.. really? The small portion as confirmed by waitress? Like eat plain fish first and sides after.. No sorry for beying busy or beying late to bring. Bill came handwritten and calculated wrongly, they put 2 instead of 1 bottle of water.
