This restaurant is a hidden gem—you would not immediately notice it from the outside. Once you step inside, you go downstairs. It is cozy, clean, and well-organized. The owner usually welcomes guests personally, and if she is not there right away, she will come to your table later. She is very kind and welcoming.

In the kitchen, another lady is in charge, and she truly knows her craft. She uses fresh ingredients and spices, ensuring every dish is flavorful. She accommodates all requests—more seasoning, fully vegan, and even gluten-free pasta options. The food is absolutely delicious. They prepared a vegan meal for me, and the tomato sauce was freshly made—not from a can, which you could really taste. The ingredients are fresh, and the dessert was simply outstanding—we tried them all!

Loved the dining experience at Da Mello. The restaurant is very welcoming and cosy. The hosts are very friendly and courteous. They do have specials so we opted to go for the Arancini. Two small arancinis are served with white sauce and a lot of cheese, so tasty with a good bottle of wine. For our main course we opted for two white pinsa, Carbonara and Parma which is served with a big ball of mozzarella di bufalo. Both were exquisite! We were full but all their sweets are home made so could not refuse. We enjoyed a choc orange mousse and a choc panna cotta. We enjoyed every minute of our dinner with great Italian music in the background. We will visit again and try other things on the menu! The pasta also looked amazing. Great...

Da Mello in Mellieħa is must try for Italian food lovers. We had as starter the pinza contadina .....delicious perfectly cooked ,as main I had the Guancsle and Fave Special Pasta, which was an absolute treat—rich, hearty, and full of flavor. The combination of guanciale and fava beans was perfect, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. My wife opted for the Fusilli with Red Peppers and Anchovies, and she was equally impressed. The balance of the salty anchovies and sweet peppers made for a wonderfully unique dish. The cozy ambiance and attentive service topped off a fantastic meal.
