See Thomas, If you say you are shocked, I am even more so to see your answer! The waiter checked the discount card expiry date (see attached the photo of it) and she saw it clearly that it was purchased the same day. I definitely asked her during order that I would like to use the card and she noticed and told me to show it during billing. She probably forgot what we agreed (despite having only 3 guest tables alltogether :)) and she printed the invoice without applying the discount. She gave me a preach about how to scan it instead of saying sorry. Anyway she tried to scan it and I don't know what scanner she used which showed as "invalid QR" (not "expired" as you wrote). Next day we used the card in several places in other restaurants and museums in Valletta and Rabat without any problem. So next time you should simply say sorry to a customer, not offending them and make false accusations about an expired card. About the food: we tried the rabbit in 2 other places and they had a lot more flavour to be honest. About the chicken I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with wine marinade like the menu says. I came to eat with my 10-year-old daughter. Of course it's more pizza than fish... So we ate downstairs, everything was perfect! Even simple pizzas are made with care and taste. The service is very good!! And I'm not even talking about the wine, being alone I asked for wine by the glass leaving the waiter to manage, I'm French and pationed with wine ... Well, I wasn't disappointed! Spanish wine served (Care) exceptional value for money, followed by a 1919 Marsovin very clearly a field above... Booked on a Monday evening after another hot day in Malta. Greeted by the front of house lady who was really friendly and seated ys as requested in our booking. We were then Greeted by Zach, who is one of the owners. He was genial and really helpful, recommending the local specialities. Attentive but unobtrusive service, nothing too much trouble. The food was really very good. Great flavour, cooked well and plenty of it. We had 3 courses and wine and the bill was very reasonable. Genuinely a super meal, great service and not expensive. Highly recommend. Above the restaurant is a roof terrace bar for post dinner drinks. Great views...
