I took my partner and my son to experience the culinary excellence provided by these talented chefs at Kitchen India! We were not disappointed! We ordered three starters, onion bah-gee, cauliflower pakora and the unusually featured crispy cheese balls. Our mains were chicken Madras, Fish Masala and the Chef’s special fish Masala which was markedly different from its similarly named offering. We all had jeera basmati rice. Long story very short: the onion bah-gees were superbly seasoned, fragrant, mildly spicy with a crisp coating and a succulent and dense onion centre. Delicious! The pakoras were similarly rich and flavorful with a crisp coating and the tasty fresh and succulent cauliflower which was incredibly satisfying. Not the damp oily squib we have experienced elsewhere in the islands! Finally, the shockingly good crispy cheese balls. Crispy outside with a delicious stringy cheese and vegetable centre, supremely tasty and so wonderfully seasoned with that lovely cheese pull thats so en vogue nowadays. All in all lots of talking points for us before our mains arrived. My madras was hot, spicy resplendent with aromatics, ginger and garlic. The chicken was succulent and the gravy rich, perfectly seasoned and the portion was perfect. We all enjoyed the Jeera rice, firm, yielding and seasoned with butter and crispy cumin seeds. Absolutely delicious. My son and my partner had strikingly similar fish Masala dishes on paper , but in reality, my son’s was spicier, more savoury with a satisfyingly rich gravy. My partners was equally delicious but had a more fragrant, sweeter overall flavour which was quite delicious with plenty of succulent chunks of tasty, fleshy fish in both dishes for them to enjoy. Overall, a top quality experience aided by excellent devices that ! Well done Kitchen...
Read moreWe recently visited this Indian restaurant after hearing that they cook everything fresh only after taking orders — and we were definitely intrigued! So, we made the trip all the way from San Gwann, and ordered for our family of four.
We started with drinks (lassi), followed by starters: Chicken 65, Onion Bhaji, and Corn Cheese Balls. The drinks arrived quickly, while the starters took about 20 minutes — just as they promised, everything was made fresh from scratch.
And it was absolutely worth the wait.
The Chicken 65 was incredibly tender and flavorful — clearly made from well-selected cuts of chicken. The Onion Bhaji and Cheese Balls were also fresh, crispy, and packed with taste. Honestly, we were tempted to order more starters, but we held back since we’d already placed our main course order.
About 15–20 minutes later, the main course arrived: Paneer Masala, Lamb Roganjosh, Beef Chettinad, and a variety of breads. The portion sizes were generous — definitely more than enough for individuals — but everything was so delicious that we managed to finish off most of it!
A pleasant surprise was a complimentary red (lal) paratha, which not only looked vibrant but also tasted amazing. Don’t be alarmed by the colors — they’re all natural, made from ingredients like beetroot and carrots, with no artificial additives.
We wrapped up the meal with a few desserts, which were a sweet ending to a wonderful experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kitchen India in Malta, a gem that appears to be somewhat underappreciated despite boasting universally positive reviews. Allow me to affirm that this establishment deserves every accolade it receives.
Upon entering, we were immediately struck by the quality and meticulous care evident in the ambiance. We opted to dine in the veranda, which offered a delightful setting for our evening meal. The attention to detail in both the decor and service was truly commendable.
Our culinary journey commenced with two splendid dishes: the Chicken with Spinach and the Chicken Curry. Both were prepared to perfection, rivaling the offerings of the finest Indian restaurants we have had the pleasure of visiting. The flavors were robust yet harmoniously balanced, showcasing the chef's deft touch with spices. Accompanying our main courses was a side of delicately spiced rice, which complemented the dishes beautifully.
The overall dining experience was exceptional, marked by an atmosphere of warmth and refinement. I highly recommend Kitchen India to anyone seeking an extraordinary Indian meal in Melieah. This establishment is indeed a testament to the rich culinary heritage of India and deserves to be frequented by all who appreciate...
