Master Wok — Restaurant in Mellieha

1.Unfortunately horrible. This hotel attracts lot of crowd Reviews can be subjective so I will put my mind out. I ordered for chicken fry , chicken fried rice and garlic chicken. It was a complete course, but the first dish itself was horrible .. chicken wings were so deep friend that it was hard to chew. Also chicken also was not fresh. There was no complimentary chineese sauce , i have never seen tomato sauce to be accompaning chicken wings.. with all my experience till date. Most important part as part of customer experience no one came and tried to listen to the core problem and attempt to address it. When I said I shall cancel they just said ok and thats it. I had been to multiple nations trying multiple cuisines chineese been my favourite I try this cuisine almost every where. I have a fair idea and benchmark these reataurants follow. This restaurant was no where near to it.

I agree the day was busy and your associate was patient. But in my opinion I shall not agree to what is mentioned about the sauce as I said earlier it is subjective. The fried chicken were too deep fried and hard to chew. I said ths to your associate. Also I expected the chicken wings to be tossted with some chineese sauce . 4.anyways I differ on your opinion of chineese food been different on different countries . It never happens that way.

At Master Wok, which I used to like, the portions and food delivery in 2022 are absolutely not the same as two years ago. We ordered crispy chicken, but they brought us two long strips of chicken, cut lengthwise and across, like a long white fish, crispy only on top. And nothing next to the chicken, not even a couple of veggies - just a separate tiny bowl with sweet and sour sauce, tasting as if bought from a bottle in the supermarket. The main course plate was almost the same size as the starter we had (wonton). Wonton was delicious, at least. The only superb quality thing I found was leaf jasmine tea. Unfortunately, the waitress accidentally poured some tea on the tablecloth, trying to pour it into the miniature cups. If I were here, I'd offer us another table with a dry tablecloth, but ... not that level of service. Also, I have to warn it is highly unlikely that you will feel full for 30 euros per two persons. Finally, the restroom ran out of soap a long time ago, and the disinfectant bottle was also empty. I urge the restaurant to correct these oversights a.s.a.p. After all, we are not living in...

Id like to think Im very fair with my review

Buffet. But the buffet was not on. So it was order from table only. I can only assume this is due to quiet days and to keep waste down. Fair business model!

Starters. Soup - chicken and sweetcorn tasteless Chicken. Dryer than ghandi’s flipflop Veg spring roles were ok but too many and the ribs were so dry and crispy. Crying out to be cooked less and for sauce!

Mains. Sweet and sour and egg fried rice, tasteless, dry chicken and you don't put courgette in sweet and sour!! Lemon chicken no flavour and chicken was dry inside.

Chips were solid. When i say solid. I mean. If i had a bow i could have used the chips as my arrow.

I didn’t stick around for dessert as me and my partner were worried what was about to come through the kitchen doors

I shouldn't have to speak to staff in regards to problems, if you've been around so long and well established you should have a vague idea on how to cook chinese food and run a business!!!
