To the management,
On the 14th Aug we had booking for 7 and a high chair for outdoor at mriehel.
My mum, brother and niece arrived and they didn't put them on our table because they asked where we need to sit if indoors or outside. Because our table wasn't reserved.
After we ordered the drinks and my brother ordered his starter, and we ordered the pizzas and pasta, immediately after came my husband calzone. Before the starter. The calzone wasn't the one we ordered so we sent it back. As soon the starter came, my husband calzone (the right one) arrived. When we managed to get hold of the waitress said that the calzone shouldn't arrived now and she offered to take it back and refresh. Exact words. But no one knows exactly what that means. Keep it warm??? Make a new one????? So he decided to eat on his own. Which doesn't make sense.
After a while that my brother finished his starter, when we managed to get hold of the waitress we asked where is our food. Because we had been there long time plus we had a 15 month old boy that was already too late to eat. The waitress said I'm going to send your order now.
The rest of the food arrived about 15/20 minutes later. First they gave a pizza to my son in law because he ordered Lucifer. After 3 minutes someone wearing blue came he took the pizza and gave him another one. Plus that the one wearing blue wanted to put plates Infront of anyone that hasn't had food. My pizza was cold. And I didn't bother to ask if the others were hot or cold because I didn't want to hear more complaints.
The beer that we ordered, we asked to come in the bottle but no they came in the glass. The beer was horrible it was watered down.
I'm sorry this was a disaster from the time we arrived untill we left.
The waitress wearing black she was doing everything on her own. And the others didn't know what are doing. Kitchen didn't know what they are doing too.
Thanks for this nightmare on my...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. The location is beautiful and they have a clearly marked menu for dietary requirements, including vegan and gluten free. Options looked well thought out and not an afterthought at all which is refreshing. Unfortunately these were the only positives in our experience. We arrived and were seated to an almost empty restaurant. Another 2 tables were seated with drinks ordered after us but no one came to take our drinks order. We waited about 25 mins then i had to ask at the bar to order and advised we had been waiting for a long time. No apology for the wait. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time whilst we had their attention. Our plan was to then order some wine with main, however no one came back to our table until our main was served. At this point we ordered a half bottle of wine from the menu and the server looked confused and said ok. Our main arrived and we did not recieve our wine throughout the meal. We were given a cutlery basket with no napkins and only one fork so had to ask for them. The pizza tasted good, the pasta had good flavours but was partially cold. By the time we had finished our food we were exhausted with trying to catch servers attention and cancelled the wine we had wanted to enjoy with our main.
This was a quiet evening with at least 4 servers I counted but there was no effort to ensure customers were comfortable and I watched other tables trying to wave over service too. By the look of the front counter they were making business through takeaway pizza and not being attentive to sit in customers. We left disappointed when, on paper, this place should have been one of the highlights of...
Read moreI've worked with Kitchen Concepts in the past where the emphasis was on high attention to detail, the amazing food served and a welcoming atmosphere. Oh how times have changed. The service was okay, maybe the staff was tired after Sunday lunch, but I can't expect to be left waiting for 30 mins until my drinks arrive, especially on a hot day when I was super thirsty. I had to remind a server twice to check on our drinks. The servers mostly seemed very confused about the place and the way the restaurant is being managed. The starter even arrived first before the drinks, they then arrived shortly after. I would have given the food a good rating but the pasta being too much al dente brings the quality down. Very disappointing with the food especially at the price point and considering the portions are quite small. The restaurant itself was very loud, a lot of kids running around. We moved outside in fact where it was a little quieter. The timing needs to improve significantly, I cannot be left waiting for 30 mins to be given my starter, then drinks and 5 minutes between starter and main course! I feel rushed and doesn't help achieve the values Kitchen Concepts was built on, if they're still even considered. Oh and someone needs to address the dessert menu, there's quite a few grammatical corrections which need...
