Gusti — Restaurant in Msida

Not a great lunch/brunch experience.

We read that they had various toasted sanwiches and good reviews so we decided to go here for our lunch/brunch.

The place has not been finished after renovations so paint wad missing from some areas, random small holes in the wall, tape on the wall and there was a few wires losely connected with painters tape. A sure firehazard and safety hazard. If they are live you could potentially get a very unpleasant experience. This is of course not the regarding the food or the service itself but I believe that it bears mention.

Food/drinks: They got our order wrong - my coffee with oatmilk was made with a sweetened cow milk (not fresh so possibly a powder or something). The cuppuccino had way too much foam and the espresso was bitter. We never recieved our icetea and now, several hours later we both feel sick. Too early to say if it is food poisoning, but that is definately a possibility. The sandwiches where bland, contained some ingedients that were not listed (in my case some fried onion) and they were very dry but served with coleslaw which could have possibly helped. However, I was not feeling like having coleslaw at that point and this was another unlisted ingredient. The pestacio crossaint was fine.

Service: In addition to the missing orders we had to wait a bit despite being the only people there.

Atomsphere: In addition to the poor state of the place, we had loud club music playing. Didnt seem very pleasant. The waiters could possibly have turned it down had we asked.

Because of the state of my stomach at the moment and the near undrinkable coffee I have to give a single star only. Hopefully this is a singular experience and good reviews will weigh the other way with time. Maybe the dinner...

Amazing place. Delicious food, worth the price.. genuine drinks incl. all day happy hour and also a relaxing atmosphere. Whether it is for a coffee and dessert, or for a few drinks paired with a platter or a couple of pinsas, it has it all.
