Carnitas Los Michoacanos — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

What is not to love about a place that has a chicken and a dog roaming around the restaurant... it's a local hole-in-a-wall that has great food we loved everything we ordered especially the pork skin with guacamole. That guacamole is super delicious. They had a local group perform there as well but I missed it since I came later than my friend. A 4 rating is only because there are flies there. After our waiter noticed that I didn't drink much of my margarita because it was sour he added in a sweetener... I think agave without charge. Super friendly guy. If you love pork, this is your place. The carnitas are wonderful and are the center of attention here. We started with guacamole served with tortillas chips and chiccarones. Fabulous. Next were tacos, quesadillas, and sopes. There was a condiment selection of a green sauce, red sauce, a roasted salsa, and pickled jalapeños. All were yummy. We call this "The Pig Palace" as if you like pork carnitas (even if you are not sure), this is the best! Great little restaurant and even better to pick up some carnitas to take home and make dinner! We've only been for lunch so can't comment on their breakfast. AND... very few loud tourists come here so nice to eat with the locals and gringos...
