They were dry cutting ceramic tiles in the front and back nonstop for our whole stay, construction going on in November and was told they started in the summer, we could breath all the poisonous dust from the tiles, our car was a mess from the tile dust, we had to move, could not stand the trucks breaking with their engines right in front and speeding, huge dump trucks so loud at 5am throughout the day until dark, unbelievable! Someone playing loud horribly ugly music at 6am and the hospital ambulance parked outside turning their sirens in the middle of the night when the hospital is a block or two away…clean rooms but the owner should take care of the atmosphere and isnt it illegal to break with motor in the city? Owners should be doing something about it before advertising as Boutique Hotel. Not enough parking, someone suggested parking in the next door building and their alarm went off and their guard told us it is a private parking for their own business, so embarrassing.
Thank for responding to my review, the music I referred to was coming from the outside, probably a back door neighbor, there is a car wash nearby, so when coming in and out we could hear the ugly music, probably from carwash? ambience music is alright, no complaints there. The dust, there was a cloud of dust all over the building, our car had a thick layer of it. From the parking lot in the front we looked down to where the noise was coming from and could see a man cutting tiles downstairs. And maybe we understood to park next door to the other side instead of the pharmacy. Now...
Read moreWe were very disappointed. The two reasons I can think of to stay here would be low price and proximity to the airport-- and the price isn't low, especially should you want any coffee, early check in or late checkout, which are all extra. It's on a very busy, loud road and the free parking is out front, right off the major road. It's technically within 15ish-minute walking distance of the touristy art walk area, but it's a unpleasant walk on busy roads, past construction. The room had only a tiny window off to one side, no screen-- and it appeared that other rooms had windows looking into the inside of the hotel only. The closet was oddly giant, but no shelves and very dark. You have to sign a paper saying the hotel isn't responsible for stuff being stolen from your room, so you'll need to be prepared to carry all your valuables with you. And, last, the room was just kind of unkempt-- broken stuff, paint splatters and stains on the floor. The hotel either needs to lower prices or provide nice extras (such as a shuttle downtown, free breakfast, or something)-- and coffee!-- to make up for the downsides. Overall, there are...
Read moreThe second worst hotel of my life, the first being in the depths of Marco where there are no tourists and very few hotels. The room is small, no room for a night table, no windows to the outside even it is on the edge of the highway... only a bay window which looks out onto the corridor. The walls are dirty and were very badly repainted centuries ago... The tiles are full of holes, the joints are very badly done there are traces of cement... It's dirty!!! To avoid absolutely even if it is a 10 minute walk from the historic center and you can park your car there. The day of my departure the receptionist did not even answer my hello even though it was in Spanish, no smile, she did not take her...
