A good size venue with tons of space and different seating areas. Unfortunately we sat outside...at first glance we thought it was a brilliant idea; pleasant evening, live music...life was good. As the evening progressed, it turned out not to be such a good idea; lots of issues with some very persistently bothersome flies! We literally had to keep chasing them off the table. The staff finally brought us some sort of table fan that was a bit helpful. They could have brought it for us earlier, a lot earlier actually. Gotta ding them for that on service...
Adult Dranks: ~ Watermelon Julep - 4/5 Lovely refreshing Watermelon drink. Perfect for those warm Cabo Summers
~ Smokey Dream - 4/5 Creative Tamarind based cocktail; Citrusy and sweet, yet spicy.
Grub: ~ ASIAN SCALLOP CEVICHE - 3/5 This was a decent dish. The flavors were on point. But they did skimp on the Scallops.
~ FRIED CHIHUAHUA CHEESE - 3/5 I Looovvveeee Fried Cheese Dishes! I had Greek, Mexican, Italian and several other iterations... This was a bit disappointing.
~ BLACKBERRY MOLE - 2/5 This was just OK. I had much better Mole elsewhere, and I'm not particularly a Mole fan. Nice Presentation tho...
~ SURF AND TURF TACO (2) - 5/5 Hands down the star of the show! Worth its weight in Gold...well maybe not Gold! You get the idea. This is what I imagine a perfect Surf & Taco to be...minus the price tag. A perfect mix of Seafood and Meat. Everything just Works.

Read moreWe happened upon this place due to a timeshare presentation, but had an excellent breakfast! We found out that at night there could be a line going down the block, but it would be worth the wait. For breakfast, we both had the "Macho Omelette". Be prepared for the peppers that are included...I had mine taken out. Apparently, they are REALLY hot!! It came with a sm. fresh fruit plate served beforehand, and the omelette was fantastic!! I also ordered coffee, which was just ok, and o.j., which was outstanding! I got a glass of water first, and all drinks were served on beautifully colored coasters made out of some kind of material that was finer than burlap, but not linen (sorrynot a fabric expert....just noticed they were very pretty and a great idea for adding to a table decor...wish I took a pix of that!) I didn't think to take pix until after I ate. There was a historic bldg inside of the restaurant which was probably also part of the hotel, which I never caught the name of...(the Encanto something...I think).... What i did see on the way out was a little lending library like we have here in the states right between the entrance of the hotel and the restaurant. I didn't want to disturb other diners eating, so I just snapped a few quick pix on the way out, but they are included. Based on our breakfast, I would definitely go back and find that restaurant again even though we stay in Cabo San Lucas, almost 30 min away....its very fun visiting the little town of Los Cabos at least once on your trip....especially on a Thursday night to see the Art Walk. We make it a point to...
Read moreWhen we would visit San Jose Del Cabo we regularly visited Habaneros a few times each trip because we always enjoyed the food and service. It was often where we went the first night in town. We haven’t been to the Baja in six years and planned on Habaneros again the first night. They have moved from their old place we usually went and are now located in town. Great because we decided on a new downtown hotel nearby for this visit. It is a pleasant spot to dine in but the food and service left us bitterly disappointed. We will not be back. We both had the baby back ribs. The meat was done properly but the mango chipotle sauce could have come out of a bottle. Uninspired. We did substitute grilled vegetables for the corn and sweet potatoes due to dietary restrictions. The vegetables tasted of charred remains from the grill and burnt gas. Totally inedible. The waitress did not check on us throughout our meal and at the end of the meal when we told her the veggies were not good did not acknowledge it. Yes we should have called her over and complained but we didn’t. I don’t like to complain. When the fellow who came to take our payment asked how things were and we said the vegetables were bad he just commented he would tell the chef and that was that. It was all just such a disappointment I guess because we were looking forward to the meal, they have upscaled everything, it didn’t taste great and the friendly...
