As someone who owns the iconic Outpost in Cabo San Lucas, created Milky Beach Club on Medano Beach, won the Latin Food Festival in San Diego, and began my career as a professional DJ over 30 years ago, I’ve seen, built, and tasted the very best. And I can say this with certainty: La Copa at Hotel Todos Santos is in that rarefied league.

We came here looking for a cocktail, assuming that based on the reviews and photos that there would be robust offerings by experienced bartenders. Unfortunately this place fell flat. The drink menu was limited and for all the various ingredients visible, the bartender could not go off piste and suggest something to fit our drink preferences. The drink ordered was quite syrupy and made with flat Topo Chico. For $320 MXN I personally think they should have been able to crack a fresh bottle of sparkling water. We suspected the bartender was somewhat new, but there were half a dozen staff members floating around, so was surprised to see no one else lending a hand given that we were the only folks in the bar. We thought it a little strange that we were sat at the bar despite a room full of empty tables. We had planned to order food, but were too off put by the drink experience that we opted not to. Maybe this was a great place for a drink at sometime in the past - and has potential to be a nice option - but it’s really lost its lustre. Too many great places to choose from in Todos for this one to be at the top...

Great experience - very speakeasy. I wouldn't change a thing. What I appreciate the most of this place is the old authentic décor. It feels real, not pretentious - the clientele here are the people who can pay for a good drink and stay the evening enjoying a good chat with the great cocktail masters that work there.
