So far this is our favorite place in Cabo. We’ve been here for the past 6 months and have made it our mission to try every place we can, by far this is the one we would pick.
The atmosphere is amazing, Misaki is located within the Solaz resort which in it of itself is very pretty and luxurious. The restaurant is cozy and minimalistic. Nice music in the background made the evening even better.
Service was outstanding. We were seated at the bar and had a chance to chat with Itamae Jose Luis, Johan and Miguel. They were all very helpful and polite. Make sure you ask for their suggestions.
Food is to die for. We gluttoned our way through the menu and absolutely loved every dish. Everything was fresh as can be and their skells were on display with every bite. I won’t name one specific dish, you really can’t go wrong here. Just let them guide you through the menu. Drinks were really yummy too.
The place is in no way a cheap restaurant for Cabo’s standards but in my opinion the value proposition is there. No complaints here.
Overall the vibe is great, this is one of my favorite places in Cabo and probably one of my favorite Japanese places in general so far. I would definitely recommend you pay them a visit.
Kudos to Edo Kobayashi, very well...
Read moreAll the raw dishes were good, the tempura though too oily and the gindara too salty. The overall experience really bad, we went for a nice relaxing dinner and it wasn’t at all. Every single request the answer was no, can we substitute another fish instead of tuna? No! Can we have some Mayo on the side? No! Can we have the chicken wings not spicy for the kids? No! We had leftover tempura and they said they’d wrap in foil?!?! We ended up asking hotel for a container and bringing ourselves. Lastly, they served the wrong tuna and waitress asked the chef who stated that we’d be charged anyways since it was already made.lol!! At the end when we expressed that they were so inflexible they apologized and said they follow very strict the Japanese style (?!!??!!) which is a little bit insulting using the Japanese culture to explain a rude and obnoxious mentality. Clearly they don’t follow the high Japanese standards and I am assuming they don’t consider their food high end either since they think the “doggy bag foil “ is the appropriate way for to go (for the record our puppies eating in puppy plates and not...
Read moreThis is a must-visit when you stay at the Solaz! If there weren’t other restaurants to try, we would have eaten here every night. The ambiance was so calming and the food was incredible, not to mention affordable. We had 2 cocktails each from their signature menu and they were so unique. For appetizers we had the shrimp croquettes, gyozas, and edamame. Each one was better than the last! We ordered our waiter’s recommended sushi rolls and quickly decided it was the best sushi we’ve ever eaten. For dessert, we had the matcha tiramisu - so unique and flavorful. The service was top notch and we were shocked when the bill came - 4 cocktails, 3 appetizers, 3 sushi rolls, and dessert came to $120. We easily would have paid double considering the quality and experience. So far, this was the most affordable restaurant at the resort. We are very big foodies and I could not recommend this...
