This was one of the best resorts I have ever been to. I booked a preferred club room. When I checked in, I went straight to the preferred lounge where I was helped immediately. They had drinks & food and anything you needed while waiting for your room. Very refreshing and nice with superior service. The Resort: This resort is a boutique resort. Everything is in close proximity. Intimate resort, you don't get lost. The grounds are maintained beautifully, they are constantly grooming them. Very beautiful. Pools - 2 Pool areas, one in the main area which is for family & has a kiddie pool & one adult pool. They both have swim up bars and people walking around serving. We spent every day at the adult pool. Alot of loungers were available and they had some floats for your use as well. Luis & Daniel at the swim up bar Manatees were so much fun and never ever missed a beat to my needs. They were like family by the end of the trip. You can order food right from the pool and they will go all out to make sure you get what you need. Really made my days enjoyable. The main pool has a hot tub and a kiddies pool. There's a little stand where you can buy necessities at the pool if you forget something. Beach - The beach is well manicured with also a separate preferred club area with its own beach bar. Lots of chairs and palapas to go around. Massages are also offered on the beach through the resort and there is a little independent tent right there that does massages as well on a walk up basis. There's another bar with swings at the beach which is a lot of fun. Bali Beds - 2 - 2 story Bali Beds aka cabanas you can rent for the day which have their own beach area & private swimming pool. We did this one day for my birthday and it was really unbelievable. The butlers' names were Manny & Octivio at the cabana. They were amazing, fun and made sure every person was pampered to the hilt. We had food, every drink you could ever want and 2 tv's for music. Truly amazing service and would highly recommend doing this. The Room: I was in room 3303. This room is completely oceanfront towards the adult pool. Decor is beautifully appointed. Separate couch area with a table. King bed was super comfortable and had lots of pillows. There was a ceiling fan with multiple speeds, lots of closet space with robes & slippers. Laundry service is available. Minibar had beer, soda, mini liquor bottles and lots of snacks. TV had many channels but I guess there was a place to log into Netflix or any streaming you want. The bathrooms had everything you would ever need from high end shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hand sanitizer to a toothbrush & toothpaste, comb, mending kit, shaving needs, incense. They even have a beach bag for you with towels in it. Honestly, everything one would need. They do turn down service at night and leave you little truffles, a nice touch. The view from the balcony was astonishing. I watched many whales everyday crossing in front of the resort. Truly astonishing. The Food: There are several restaurants you can go to. For breakfast there are a couple of options. A buffet & Seaside Grill (this turns into a steakhouse at night). Both have amazing views and great food. At the buffet there is a wonderful woman, Mariela, who is like a mom away from home. She cooks some killer omelettes and Martin was our guy who made sure we had everything we needed, he even knew what we wanted to drink the minute we sat down. Up by the check in, there is a coffee/ice cream shop with pastries & other food throughout the day. Great little eats to grab there. Lunch you have options around the resort but I love the little places on the beach. We normally ordered lunch at the pool and it was delivered. Dinner there are a handful of places to choose from and all of them are nice. I think my favorite was Italian. The service is so good. They truly care and treat you with such kindness. Overall, I am impressed by Dreams. I will definitely be partial to booking other dream resorts in the future.

1/2025 - 1 Bedroom Ocean View Suite Important Notes: Download the Hyatt Inclusive Collection App - This app is essential for accessing the property map, restaurant menus, and activity schedules. It’s the most accurate way to navigate the resort and plan your stay. Resort Coupons/Credit - Although the booking advertises $200 in resort coupons, they are only valid for bottles of wine, romantic dinners, and spa services. Keep this in mind when budgeting. Tipping - While the resort is all-inclusive, tipping the staff can greatly enhance your overall experience. Check-In Experience - Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted, with doors opened and luggage service provided. Check-in at the counter was quick since our stay was prepaid. With just a scan of our passports, we received our room keys. However, after this smooth start, we were redirected to another staff member who introduced herself and presented the resort coupons/credits. She proceeded to walk us through a folder while pointing out a nearby restaurant. During her pitch, she tried selling us a discount package that required attending a breakfast meeting the next morning. After a long day of travel, we declined and just wanted to get to our room. Unfortunately, she then pointed us to the wrong elevator. Important Note - The VIP services staff is primarily trying to sell timeshares. If you’re looking for any assistance or discounts, it’s better to speak directly with the concierge. The 1 Bedroom Ocean View Suite was spacious and ideal for families. We chose a king bed, but two queen beds are also an option. The suite also includes a pull-out couch, making it versatile for larger groups. Mini-Bar stocked and includes a coffee maker. Two closets – a walk-in with a safe and another by the dining table with extra bedding for the pull-out couch. Bathroom features dual vanities, a lighted mirror, a scale, a hairdryer, and a steamer. The walk-in shower is large, equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a retractable clothesline. The toilet and shower are in a separate room from the vanity area, offering extra privacy. While the room layout was great, it could use a deep cleaning. Fabrics, including the headboard, had visible stains. The full-length mirror and other surfaces were not cleaned thoroughly. The bedroom TV wasn’t working initially, but maintenance promptly replaced it with a larger one. Room service is available 24/7, but expect a wait time of 45 minutes to an hour. The menu changes depending on the time of day. We had recurring issues with ice machines on multiple floors not working and had to request ice from room service. Mini-bar restocking is done through room service, either via a phone call, app or the in-room tablet. A couple of times, we didn’t receive water and had to call to have it delivered. There are two main pools at the resort: one is exclusively for adults, while the other is family-friendly, featuring a walk-in entry and a slide for little ones. Both pools are heated and include swim-up bars for added convenience. Additionally, there is a large jacuzzi connected to the main pool. If you’re looking to elevate your experience and have the means to splurge a bit, booking a private cabana for the day is absolutely worth it. Each cabana comes equipped with two queen beds, a TV, a Bluetooth poolside speaker, a plunge pool, and an upper deck complete with chairs and an umbrella. The real highlight is the private butler service, catering to all your food, drink, and other requests. Plus, you’ll have access to private bathrooms with dual-sink vanities. For booking excursions, the AmStar desk is incredibly helpful. They provide a wide range of options without favoring specific activities. Every booking includes transportation to and from the resort, making the process seamless. While there were minor setbacks, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the incredible staff truly stood out!

I traveled to Los Cabos as a plus one for my sister’s work trip. There were a lot of people in our group checking in and we were greeted with drinks right away. That was an amazing way to be greeted! We arrived early, before we could check in at 4pm but were able to enjoy the resort right away (probably thanks to arranging that ahead of time). We ate at Seaside Grill for lunch then we lounged on chairs at the beach and then went to get our room. The first room they sent us to we walked in and noticed that things were on the bed and two people were on the patio so we quickly walked right back out without engaging with them. We told the front desk and they gave us a different room. This second room had a king size bed, when we had booked one with two double beds. We went back downstairs with all our luggage and explained that was incorrect because we booked a room with two double beds. The front desk said there were no available rooms with two double beds and that an extra bed could be brought up. I’m telling you at this point I was frustrated, I didn’t want another bed because I didn’t know what that meant, would it be comfortable, where would it go?! We decided to make the best of the room with the king bed. Hotels typically put a disclaimer in that they can’t guarantee you’ll get the room you booked and this place is no different. You’re at the mercy of the hotel to honor your request or not. The room was really big and great, the floor was marble which I think feels more upscale. Also knowing that you actually get to eat the food and drinks in the minibar feels extravagant. The room had a sofa and a small table with two chairs and then a balcony with a small table and two chairs. The room also had a giant TV. They offered housekeeping twice daily, once for cleaning and then once for turndown. We ended up ordering room service and that was fun for us because of the all inclusive part of not having to worry about how much it costs! The disappointing part was that you can’t order alcoholic drinks on their online ordering tablet. I don’t even think I could order soda on it either. Room service takes forever so be aware of that! Late night room service always took an hour or more. It’s a big hotel so I doubt there is much they can do about that but it was a bit frustrating. Overall, we learned some things on our first all inclusive trip. The food isn’t exactly 5 star but it was good, certainly not bad. We didn’t try the french or seafood restaurant, we didn’t really enjoy the Italian restaurant which was disappointing, Barefoot and Seaside were more like grills for quick eats during lunch, Seaside Grill was amazing for dinner (we got the steaks) and we wished we went there more. Spent breakfast and most lunches at world cafe and can’t complain. We were drinking margaritas all day and never really felt buzzed and we’re not big drinkers typically so make of that what you will. The pirate show wasn’t supposed to be hilarious but it was to me, words don’t do it justice. It was low budget but maybe children would enjoy it. Best advice, make sure to bring sunscreen. It is $40 to buy a bottle at the resort. If you are traveling and are not able to bring a ton of sunblock because of size limitations then bring multiple small bottles because it is just not worth $40 at the resort. Download the app to be able to see menus ahead of time, it’s worth it! Bring a reusable straw lol as they are conscious of saving sea turtles because drinking frozen margaritas without a straw is a little challenging. Do not go in the water, the undertow is really dangerous. It is beautiful to look at, but has very unpredictable waves especially during high tide. Easy to get knocked over by a wave when you think you're safe and far enough away. This happened to 2 people in our party during our 4 day stay. Enjoy the weather, food and drinks and relax!

I’ll preface by saying my wife and I only stay in adults-only resorts, and only purchased this for a friend’s wedding. We remember why we only stay in adults-only.

This resort is centered around kids. The main pool that allows kids is the only pool that gets any sunlight. The “adults-only” pool doesn’t get sunlight at all because it’s centered in between all of the buildings. All of the events are centered around kids except they do karaoke every other night. That was enjoyable, until it was overtaken by locals and the DJ played Hispanic music the rest of the evening and pretty much forced out tourists. The DJ wouldn’t even entertain playing any other music.

Our room. First off, very disappointed there was no tub options for the rooms. The rooms were fine. Nothing special. We paid extra for ocean view. And I suppose it was technically “ocean view” but we were one of the farthest rooms away from the ocean and could barely see it through the palm trees. The bathroom electrical outlet didn’t work, so my wife had to do her hair in the main area every day. The USB outlets in the lamps didn’t work, which wasn’t a huge deal but finding outlets was a pain as there weren’t many to be had.

The resorts overall cleanliness was good. No complaints there. For the most part our service was good as well. Very attentive for the most part. Except for the seaside bar. The bartenders every day acted annoyed we were ordering drinks. We brought our own cups and they refused to fill them, and would only make normal sized drinks. It was the only bar that had a problem with it. And their drinks were the only ones that were sub-par.

The bars were overall decent. No long lines, no long waits. They went throw quickly and seemed knowledgeable. HOWEVER, on the app, they have several drinks on their menu that none of the bartenders knew how to make. And one bartender said he didn’t have one of the mixers to put in a specific drink on the menu.

The food. Where to begin. The absolute most disappointing part of the whole trip. We had to wait over an hour each night to get in to a restaurant except one. Mind you we did have a group of 13 so it was expected it wouldn’t be immediate, so that wasn’t a big deal. The Seaside Grill, we put in our name on night at 6. The guy told us he couldn’t seat us all but to come back at 7 and he would have a table available. We agreed and went and got a drink. Came back at 659, he said it would be another 20 minutes because he went to find us and couldn’t find us so he gave up our table. So we wait another 20 standing right in front and he told us another 20 mins. So, we went somewhere else. He came over to the restaurant we were at then (magically found us there) and begged us to come back the next night. We told him no and moved on.

The food was mediocre at best. Most of the dishes seemed to be remakes of the proteins at the buffet with different veggies or sides. The buffet was unfortunately the best food on the resort, and that’s not good. Our last day of breakfast at the buffet, the sausage they had labeled “sausage” was in fact hot dogs. If I had to pick a restaurant to revisit, it was the Italian restaurant. The food was decent there. Room service was terrible food. I got a medium-well burger and it was still red. And that wasn’t the only complaint about undercooked meat in the group. I normally order medium, but because of the complaints, I ordered medium well. It wasn’t even close. And it took almost an hour to get our food.

Oh and don’t follow the website for the dress requirements for the restaurants. They are all wrong. Check the app after you get there. All different.

The spa. We got a couples massage. I have never been to a resort where all of the pre-spa services (gratto, steam room, sauna, etc) is separate from your significant other. I came there to spend time with my wife, but here we are, separated. Our massage was actually quite good, probably the best part of the resort.

We will never stay at a Dreams resort again. The only reason for the two star rating is because of...

I will definitely be partial to booking other dream resorts...

My Mom and I stayed at Dreams Los Cabos between Christmas and the New Year. It was our first time at a Dreams property and we were overall extremely disappointed by our experience.

ACCOMMODATIONS. The rooms are outdated and run down. We were excited when we checked in and were informed that we were “upgraded” to one of their “new” swim up rooms that aren’t publicly available yet. While the swim up feature and spacious patio were nice, neither made up for all of the negatives. Everything from the furniture to the lamp shade was old and visibly dirty. The bedding was unkempt and old fashioned. The TV screen was half broken and discolored. Our fridge was completely empty upon check in despite our “preferred club” status. The lock on our sliding door was broken. The bathroom was tiny, every item on the vanity was chipped, the shower didn’t drain properly and we FREQUENTLY did not have hot water. Luggage rack was literally falling apart, curtains didn’t close all the way, stained towels…I could go on and on.

SERVICE. Staff members were generally brisk, unhelpful and unfriendly. It was clear they were severely understaffed, so I felt bad for the employees. It took an hour to get a simple quesadilla from the grill because they had a mere 2 employees attempting to make food for everyone by the pool and beach. I was frequently met with confusion when trying to order food and/or drinks off the menu that is provided in the app. We were directed to use it at all times, and yet were frequently told that they didn’t know what items on the menu even were (???). We had to request housekeeping daily, otherwise our room wouldn’t be cleaned.

TOWEL SERVICE. Trying to get our hands on beach towels was an absolutely ridiculous game. They don’t have an organized check in and check out system that we have experienced at other resorts, so everyone just hordes the beach towels in their rooms and it’s like the Hunger Games to get fresh, clean beach towels each day.

FOOD. The food was OK. We had to be in line for a restaurant the minute they opened in order to have any hope of getting sat, and service was very slow. We enjoyed Bordeaux and Oceana the most for dinner, and Sugar Reef for lunch. To be fair, all inclusive resorts are not generally known for their food, but we’ve definitely experienced better.

PREFERRED CLUB. They really talk this up on the website and we didn’t feel it was anything to write home about. We had a separate check in area, but it was constantly filled with people so we found we had to go talk to the main desk most of the time anyways. The lounge was just 3 tables, a couch and a couple trays of food. No “pillow menu” to be found. Mini bar wasn’t even stocked when we checked in, much less “upgraded”. I’m pretty sure the hydrotherapy circuit is available to anyone that books a spa treatment. We had terrible experience at check out. Overall, at no point during our stay did we feel we received anything extra or special.

ADULTS ONLY POOL. The adults only pool had a great vibe. It was one of the few redeeming qualities of our stay. It was pretty easy to get a chair, quiet and had beautiful views. Although we had a swim up room that faced the adults only pool with a large, private patio, because they allow families in those rooms, we really couldn’t enjoy our patio area because there were two kids next door to us screaming, splashing and doing cannonballs nonstop. The swim up rooms that face the adults only pool should be adults only, as the guests on that side of the resort are there to enjoy a space with no children.

SPA. My Mom and I both had a WONDERFUL experience at the spa. We each got a massage and facial and thoroughly enjoyed our services.

GROUNDS. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Especially the recently remodeled areas. If only they put as much time and attention into maintaining the rooms!

Overall, we are genuinely dumbfounded that this resort has so many positive reviews and touts itself as a “5-star resort”. Would not return in a million years or...
