Sakagura Sushi Restaurant – A True Taste of Japan Absolutely amazing experience with exceptional sushi quality. Every piece of fish was incredibly fresh—on par with what we’ve had in Japan. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are outstanding, making this one of the most authentic sushi experiences we’ve had outside of Japan. It’s important to note that the pricing reflects the premium quality, so don’t expect a budget meal. You’re paying for top-tier ingredients and skilled preparation, and it’s well worth it. Highly recommended for true sushi enthusiasts.

100% Japanese restaurant overlooking Sea of Cortez. Miso soup was best I have had to start with and sushi was incredible. New fav spot at Solaz and they have several great restaurants. Reservations recommended

Very disappointed. If you’ve been to good sushi restaurants in US or Vancouver, it’s not worth to try. The only food that tasted ok was the oyster, but the chef took it out of a container, not fresh :(

I have to agree wholeheartedly with the last 2 reviews. Very, very weird experience. From walking in and sitting at the counter to watch the supposed magic, to a strange vibe that carried through the restaurant like a screaming baby. Staff are grumpy and don't seem to like their chosen career. The food, when received was alright. I too have eaten at many high end eateries around the globe and have run my own restaurant as well, and this one needs a few pointers. Why are they clearing all the plates including sauce dishes, when there are still more items to come? I asked for more sauce and was informed, "no sir it has its own sauce on it already". Apparently here, the customer isn't right. The time between courses was brutally long, even in an establishment that wasn't even 1/3 full. Prices are high, which is OK if the experience is a complete mind blow but this is not in that category. Solaz is an incredible resort, I recommend it fully but Sakagura.....definitely not. Stick to Mako on the beach as Sakagura may not be there when you get...

Absolutely incredible. I owned the Japan account for my company and have been to Japan 15+ times for a week or longer stay in the last 7 years - the fish here rivals Japan.

Talented sushi masters here.

The Junmai Daiginjo is from Culican and was delicious.

I can’t say enough about how great this place is and the quality of the staff.

I think one of the challenges might be they get a lot of folks in here who don’t know sushi or have unreasonable and unrealistic expectations.

The 1 and 2 star reviews left here by some clearly miserable people are quite bewildering, as this is quality at the highest level. I hope this place survives because we definitely...

I regret to write this as we have been many times and very delighted in the past.

Celiacs beware! I am celiac/gluten-free, and I shared with the staff of my allergy. We had trouble communicating and when I asked if a dish presented on the table, I was told that my dish didn’t have gluten. After tasting, I noticed a sauce that tasted awfully similar to soy sauce (or something similar).

After asking, I ultimately was served oysters with a sauce that had gluten. They tried to correct it, but I had already lost trust in the kitchen and staff to cater to my dietary restriction.

We ended up leaving after the first course and...
