This is definitely one of the best Hyatt Place hotels I have stayed at! My family and I traveled to Tijuana for a wedding and stayed a whole week. Complimentary breakfast was our favorite part of our stay. Waking up to a delicious breakfast was something we looked forward to everyday. They had authentic regional food which was so fresh from the eggs, beans, chilaquiles, veggies, oatmeal, fruits, to the freshly squeezed orange juice and green juice. I don't think any processed foods were ever present. Everything was so tasty! The kitchen staff was also AMAZING. Special thanks to Jaime, Yolanda, and Adrian for making our stay memorable! They were always so attentive, we were always greeted with a smile every morning, and if we needed anything, there was no hesitation in assisting us. They took time to engage with us and we got to know a little bit about them. Management please give them our thanks! In regards to rooms, housekeeping always kept our rooms clean. Parking was underground and complimentary which was very safe and convenient since we did have a large vehicle. At the beginning of our stay, we were greeted by Mr. Dari who helped us carry our luggage up to our rooms. When it was time for us to depart, he was also a huge help in getting transportation arranged for us. Our stay was 10/10. The hotel is very centric, stores and restaurants were within walking distance and we always felt safe. This will definitely be our hotel of preference for our...
Read moreI'm sad. I don't normally write bad reviews, even when I AM dissatisfied, however being in Mexico and intentionally booking this hotel so that I could AT LEAST have the Internet Amentity in order to conduct my business online was a complete and utter BUST! Each time I tried to connect it was a big hassel. Even making local calls (in Mexico, from Mexico) was an ordeal. The Sheets on bed were dingy, yellow color. The King Sized bed was as hard as were the pillows. The bathroom shower floor was disgusting looking. And when I asked to change rooms they were so sweet and polite when they said "they did not have any available". Breakfast post-COVID was tasty. But the remaining HYATT experience was not up to standards for me. Some people were concerned with the large number of CHINESE people that were staying here but that wasn't a concern for me. I thought I heard someone in the lobby state that they believed they were "hackers" and were getting the banking information of the Americans and wreking havok on their accounts and that is why the Internet would have problems in some rooms and maybe not in others. Others wispered "COVID CARRIERS"! Hannah at the front desk when I arrived 2 hours early, would not check me in because I was not registered under my HYATT Member number. So be sure to do that! If you make a local call, you must call to front desk and they will dial it for you. Overall I was very disappointed and disheartened by this Hyatt...
Read moreThe rooms are nice. The amenities in the lobby are exceptional with fresh cooked food kitchen, a bar, available premade food plus general snacks and drinks. The staff is courteous. It is clean. The location is very good for safety and interesting shops within walking distance plus an everything market across the street. Everyone follows mask and sanitizing. The outside patio is large and picturesque, BUT kept locked because of covid... which doesn't make sense. Inside seating is open. I think locking the patio takes a Lot away from enjoying the location and enjoying fresh air and even temperatures, even through a mask.
The first night I had a room that encountered aLOT of noise banging, stomping, shaking, from another part of the building maybe there was work being done, I dunno my room phone also stopped working during those hours until 10:30pm so no sleeping early that evening. There also was some cleaning left to be wanted in that bathroom. The second night I was in a different room, different floor and it was much better as far as banging noise and cleanliness of the bathroom, but still needed a bit in the bathroom cleaning. The windows are not sound proof at all so the city traffic sound is just like standing outside in it. That is unfortunate. The beds are comfortable and the air and heat for the rooms works very well. The in-room coffee to make is good. And the water in the showers are hot. Overall...
