USED TO BE a great place to eat. The tacos and the mulitas were good. But after what happened this past weekend, I don't think I'll ever go back or recommend this place to anyone. Some friends n family were visiting the area this past wknd and they stopped by to eat here and while they ate inside some of their belongings were stolen eventhough there were "security guards" outside watching. When they came out and opened the car, they noticed some of their stuff was missing and the security and people nearby said they "had not seen anything". Then they were followed by a suspicious group of young ones to a super market nearby, until the real security guards of that super market stepoed in. So long story short, I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT, AT LEAST NOT AT THE MOMENT DUE TO THEFT AND YOUR PERSONAL SECURITY CONCERNS. There's plenty of other places to eat in Tijuana that...
Read moreAsked my Mexican colleague to take me to somewhere local folks enjoy a hearty lunch. He took me to Los Mandilones and it was really good. My colleague helped me to order the meal with two meats. Really like the adobados (marinated pork) it was full of flavour and juicy... The asada (beef) was also nice but I preferred the pork. The refried beans was so good I want to have more of it. The handmade tortillas was nice and soft, I made myself a few tacos with bits of everything and it was really good. Very decent portion size and it only costed us less than $24 USD (less than $8 pp) for all three of us with a belly full of food...
