I live in Rosarito and read some good reviews. Upon arrival, Restaurant signage said, "Steakhouse" So I ordered the small filet mignon. Portion size and sides were adequate.
But, Very disappointed in the steak itself, especially with the place being a "Steakhouse". The filet was covered in mushroom gravy which I didn't see listed on the menu (I may have missed it). So, I scraped most of it off.
The temperature of the filet was as ordered (medium), however the outer part was over cooked and charred (not typical for that cut of meat). Although the center of the steak was good, the outer part was tough, not tender (Maybe why it was smoothered in gravy).
I understand, nor was I expecting something akin to Ruth Cris, but I have enjoyed filet mignon in other Rosarito restaurants that were much better, some of which were not a "Steakhouse".
My girlfriend had the same meal, but she liked hers. Maybe I am just a filet mignon snob.
Btw: Karaoke was going on outside in the patio area where the loud music and poor singing invaded the low key indoor atmosphere. Recommend they keep the door closed that separate the two areas. It might not have mattered because three drunk guys entered from the patio who were loud and irritating for several mins. No one from the staff interacted with them or told them to leave. They finally left on their own.
Going to give the buffet a shot, but if the food is the same quality, I'll be...
Read moreI tried the Sunday brunch,The price of the buffet is $540 pesos. Includes only orange juice and coffee. If you care to have champagne, it's extra. There's tip jars at every station, which I thought tip is for a service? How is it a service when I'm actually getting up to go get my food. some attendants look at their tip jar when asking for certain servings ( grill). With the high price for this buffet, you would think the tip is included. The store bought deserts, the sludgy chocolate fountain, the artificial orange juice, and other low quality foods and ingredients, the price should actually be half of the buffet of $540 pesos, there are many misleading reviews that this restaurant is good, however everyone has a choice to use your funds wisely or carelessly. I will choose wisely and will NOT be returning to this establishment. ( Suggestions for outstanding Sunday brunches at lower prices at El canto in primo tapia, Marriott in tj, ortegas in rosarito. Pampas, churrascaria de...

Review 2021: Fantastic! Luis the bartender gave us a warm welcome and makes a great Cadillac margarita! We ordered the Caesar salad that was the best I have ever had and watching them make the dressing step by step was very special, and delicious! The lobster bisque was great and then they added the wine and it took the flavors to a new level! We split both those items between two people and were so full that we decided to split the cheeseburger that was very tasty! Highly recommend and will be coming back soon! Great staff and...
