We brought a friend from out of town to The Park because we love it! BUT, he has a severe peanut allergy, so we made sure to ask the servers MULTIPLE times if the dish he ordered (chilaquiles de la casa from Alma Verde) had peanuts and the servers assured me multiple times that there was no peanuts. Within seconds of taking a bite my friend is started having an allergic reaction, I then asked AGAIN to make sure and they still said there was no peanuts. My husband finally went and personally asked the cooks at Alma Verde if there was peanuts in the dish and they said there in fact peanuts in the dish. The cook seemed terrified with big eyes, because he obviously knew what would happen to someone with this allergy. One of the waiters said “oh hold on, I’ll go get someone” he got a manager, who talked to the kitchen & after a long time (which would be crucial when somebody is potentially dying), all they did was bring out check and didn’t charge us for his dish. No apology or anything. If they were going to take that long, they should’ve just let us go without paying so that we could go get our friend medical help fast. And no, language was not an issue, I asked in Spanish and my husband speaks Spanish fluently- so they knew what we were asking initially. I had to run to the pharmacy and get some Benadryl in hopes that it would help. Luckily he had only taken one bite. My daughter has a nut allergy as well so this makes me worried about ever bringing her here, which is sad because the food is delicious. If you come here with allergies, make sure you ask the kitchen directly about the ingredients because the servers did not know anything. Absolutely ridiculous, and dangerous. Easy wait to get sued. Also, their parking machine takes no card, no dollars, not even newer Mexican bills. Just old Mexican bills and coins. Made us waste more precious time on the way to get someone medical help. These servers are...
Read moreWent there twice. Dec 19 and 20th. For breakfast I got the chilaquiles Verdes that where good but prefer the red my wife got. They have some spicy chili in oil you can get on the side for some extra bite. The coffee was good but not strong and my wife got the latte. Inlaw and Son got pancakes whole grain with blueberries. We got Larry as a waiter that day which was attentive and super cool. The following day had lunch I ordered the Angus burger with the bacon sauce which was good but the burger didn't taste like beef more like sausage so if you don't like pork I don't suggest u getting it. Presentation of all the plates was nice. My wife got the ceviche which she said was really good. The teriyaki is a huge plate and my son got the nuggets. I also got the white chili's as appetizers. As for drinks I highly recommend the flame mezcal drink with berries it says spicy on the menu. And again Larry was super cool and his partner Alfredo also cool, he always came by to ask if we needed anything. He was attentive but not linger too much. Will come back and try the rest maybe the picaña burger and...
