TJ BORDER SUITES HOSTED BY ME — Hotel in Baja California

Let’s start here: I flew into Tijuana Tuesday night. I had a late check-in. Roughly around 12 midnight. I booked this place because it was affordable and it had good reviews.

Room. I walked into the room and it was a hot mess! The bed was undone. Blankets all over the bed. There was black men’s underwear hanging on the shower. I immediately contacted someone they apologized and changed me to a different room. I can only assume, they gave me a room where someone was still staying in!!!

*2nd room: massive one bedroom with mini kitchen area and fridge. It was decent. But the restroom sink was deteriorating. The bed was comfy I give it that. But for some reason when I laid down I was thinking about bed bugs. Just because of the first room and the way this new room looked like. It didn’t make me feel at ease.

AC: yes it’s fresh in TJ cuz the beach isn’t that far but it was hot and stuffy inside. I had to open the windows which didn’t have a mesh screen so then I was worried insects would ever or even someone could walk in through the window.

Why I stayed here: I stayed here because it has good positive reviews.

Building: the building itself is cute. Well designed. The two rooms are not for me. It was honestly a waste of money. If it wasn’t midnight I would have asked for a refund and I would have stayed at an actual hotel fort...

On the first day we stayed, we tried to take a shower, and the showerhead was very rusty and sprayed water outside the bathtub, soaking all our belongings, the bed, and the pillows! We reported it immediately, and nobody did anything. They told us that since it was late, we’d have to wait until the next day. We did as they said, but nobody showed up to fix it all day! We stayed for 4 nights, and during all that time, nobody bothered to solve the problem—we didn’t even receive an apology! We couldn’t use the shower to bathe properly because it was broken and didn’t have enough pressure; we had to use it like that, which was very frustrating. They have TVs but no batteries for the remotes. The sheets and furniture are in terrible condition, with stains. Overall, it’s obvious the place is not maintained—the floor was very dirty. I do not recommend staying there, not even for the price, which I find too high for...

Incroyable. J'arrive ver 18:30 personne pour m'ouvrir et pas de code pour ouvrir la porte dans les email et aucune reponse au numéro. Un client me fait entrer. Il y avais quelqu'un dans ma chambre. Je fini par etre capable de contacter le proprio il me dit d'attendre devant ma chambre la suite 9. J'attend 2 heures il fait 10°c. quelqu'un vien me donner les codes des portes et une chambre. Nimporte quoi. La chambre n'est pas faite. Les déchets du dernier clients sont encore là. Les serviettes mouillés, les draps pas changer. Pas de papier de toilette. Plusieurs endrois avec de la moisissure. Pas de ventilation ca devien humide jusqua la fenêtre avant... Je vous dirais pas ce que j'ai trouver avec ma lampe UV...le lendemain je vais faire des commisions et a mon retour imaginez vous donc qu'il y a des touriste en train de s'instaler dans ma chambre a travers de mes affaires. Le gars de lhotel leurs donne un autre chambre....en soirée un américain est dehors a la porte ver les 22:30. Il na pas les codes pour entrer non plus. Impossible de rejoindre le gars de l'hotel. Il fini par sen aller louer un autre chambre dans un autre hotel. Le gars qui s'occupe des chambres travail fort pour rattraper les érreurs du proprio.
