As a New Yorker with older Chinese parents, they like to sample the local Chinese food if they get a chance...for funsies. Well, my parents and kids loved this place and is worth a visit if you want to try local seafood prepared in a different cuisine and are tired of all the group-owned restaurants. I trusted the other Chinese reviewers and they did not disappoint. For the price of FRESH seafood, the restaurant's prices were very reasonable compared to "fresh" seafood in NY. As we approached the restaurant, we saw two Asian men smoking outside with one leg bent on the chair- a green flag for authentic Chinese food. They took us in to the empty restaurant and turned on the AC. The chef then took our order in Cantonese and had good recommendations! We had the fried beef & broccoli, stir fried conch and veggies, dry cooked string beans, salt and pepper shrimp, local steamed fish with scallions, and steamed oysters in garlic sauce. The steamed fish was so good, conch super fresh and the oysters were huge for the price we paid!!! Food was so yummy, not too salty, full of umami and cooked Cantonese-style. In NY we are used to paying $1-2 per bowl of white rice as it is usually not included in meals- at least not in real Chinese restaurants. The price of a bowl of rice was actually quite high, but worth it as the food was so good with it. Around 7pm is when the small restaurant's tables all filled up with other diners. Older generation Chinese people love to tell others about cheap and delicious seafood they had. All in all, the bill came out to be ~$200-250 USD. Go here if you want to make your Asian parents and your belly happy.

Such a lovely place, but you will have to wait a minimum of 40 minutes to get your food. Meals are prepared and delivered to order, and it does not come out at the same time, so just be prepared for that. If you're super hungry and don't have patience, don't come here. I guarantee that it's worth the wait! It's a small establishment and very homely. The two staff members are very nice and pleasant. The food was great! Probably the best spring rolls I've ever had. If you remain patient I promise you'll enjoy your meal. They close quite early at 9:30pm, earlier than most restaurants in that area. Being African American I can say that I had a good experience here, despite some reviews saying the place is racist. I went one night, not realizing it was already 9:30, and even though people were finishing their meals, they didn't allow us to stay, which is understandable. Went back the following day and had no issues at all! The worker shook our hand and thanked us for coming and insured we had a pleasant experience. I would go back and highly recommend!

This place is LEGIT and gets the stamp of approval from my Chinese born wife. As others have said I did not expect to find an authentic Chinese restaurant in the middle of the touristy hotel district. Yet here we are and will probably return again tomorrow We are here in the off season so not as many tourists. We got to the restaurant after a short ride on the red bus and since it was only 5pm were some of the first customers for dinner. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and the food is reasonably priced. We had some type of conch, a dish stew, the steamed oysters, and a cucumber/garlic appetizer. All of them were excellent but the oysters really stood out. Just an amazing flavor and I recommend them highly. Overall the atmosphere is nice and it’s convenient to many resorts. Definitely recommend for something a little different from the tourist places and chain eateries and for generally great Chinese food.

This is in a tourist location. Next to a big grocery store next door. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is a few things. Let's just start with the good things: *The food is absolutely delicious. Medicore portion size not enough to really share. The food is 💯 authentic, which is amazing for being in a tourist area. The server spoke English. Now to the negative things: *We ordered 4 dishes, and since the server didn't write down the food order. Our last dish never came out. *Rice (White) is not included with the Entree dish. Which I can already see that there are complaints about that again and again in the reviews. As a asian and have worked at many different asian restaurants, mainly Chinese. They have always included that for the Entrée at the least. I understand that normally, as a combo plate if they had it on the menu that there is always fried rice inclded. As ordering a entree only it should still come with white rice. That the asian culture especially Chinese. Also. Everywhere I have been around the world and even the super fancy restaurant always includes white rice along with your entree. Example: I went to Italy in Rome and it was very difficult to find a Chinese restaurant. When we found one. Even though it was a hole in the wall. We went for dinner. So, the combo plate wasn't offered , but only appetizer and entree. We got two entrees, and it without a doubt came with white rice. I can understand that fried rice is an upcharge as it has more ingredients and needs to be cooked again in a certain way, but white rice is the golden standard as it is part of the culture itself. *Food was absolutely expensive. I mean, yeah, you are in a tourist area, but you are paying like you are eating at a fine dining restaurant when this restaurant is below casual. Nothing fine dining about this restaurant as it close to being a hole in the wall kinda vibe. Again, we ordered 4 dishes, but even with 3 meduim size dishes, which were (2 was appetizer and 1 entree) that came out. None of it was seafood. Costed triple of what the States would charge. Fried rice alone was $21.00 wtf? Yeah, it was good but just enough for 1 person. *When we got the bill, they already added the 15 percent tip that you can not take off. We normally give 30 percent tip everywhere we go. Since they added this and the experience wasn't the greatest. We, of course, didn't add extra. Just always check your receipt in Cancun. Super sketchy town! *The 4 orders we made and received only 3. The price on the bill was different, like they overcharged us more than the price on the menu. I happened to realize that when I went home as I had already video the menu for memory of the trip. We are talking about $20-$30 more than what was displayed on the menu. (2 adults and 1 kid that was only 5 years old) *Only 1 entree 2 appetizer dishes, 3 waters , and the added the tip automatically came out to be $135 The price of what we paid doesn't match up with the experience, environment, vibe, and the fact we was charged more than the menu price made us not to even come back even if we are desperate for Chinese food. Because we do go to Cancun a lot due to wedding, reunion, and others function. We left feeling hungry! Mind you, I eat like a bird. I go out dining for experience and tasting, of course. For the price we paid for at least I would be feeling some kind satisfaction. This cost more than the time I went for a very fine Chinese restaurant inside the Wynn of Las Vegas. Which is known for it 5 stars high class experience. We didn't even spend no where what we did here even with tip and had so much food leftover to bring back to the hotel. Now, since the food was authentic and delicious, that is why there are 2 stars. I really want to give just a 1 star, but I don't like to bash a business. Felt like the memories for a vacation was wasted eating here. Should listen to the other reviews. Could of been better off at a fine dining restaurant with cocktails for the same cost or less in the area. Memories that would be...
