Let me set the scene: It’s a Tuesday morning. I walk into the restaurant expecting a decent meal. What I didn’t expect was to encounter Juan Glaz, the Da Vinci of table service, the Shakespeare of server banter, the Jedi Knight of the hospitality galaxy.

From the moment he appeared—gliding over like he was born on rollerblades—Juan didn’t just serve. He orchestrated. He conducted. He elevated. Water? Refilled before I even realized I was thirsty. Menu recommendations? Spot-on, like he had a psychic connection to my stomach. He described the special like it was a Broadway monologue. I nearly clapped.

At one point, I dropped my fork. Before it even hit the ground, Juan had already replaced it with a fresh one like some kind of culinary magician. I half expected him to vanish in a puff of smoke afterward.

But the real moment of transcendence? I asked for hot sauce, and Juan didn’t bring just one. No, he rolled up with an entire caddy of artisanal sauces, gave me a rundown of the flavor notes like a sommelier describing a fine wine, and then stepped back with the grace of a man who knows he just changed your life.

Long story short: Juan Glaz is not just the best server I’ve ever had—he’s the main character of dining. If the restaurant were a movie, he’d have top billing. If you go and don’t ask for Juan, you’re doing it wrong.

Book the table. Request Juan. Prepare to believe...

The coffee came warm, when we told him it's not hot (after we've already had a sip, he took it, reheated it using the tool in the coffee maker u heat the milk with which is pretty unhygienic given the current status we all live in!)

The pastries were okay, the strawberry cake was drenched in dry coconuts and tasted old. The danish was good and so was the eclaire.

We ordered omelette, baguette with churizzo and cheese, and an avocado toast with salmon and eggs. The omelette had goat cheese inside for some weird reason! The avocado toast came COLD!!!! And soggy as hell! And don't get me started on the taste of the salmon! The baguette wasn't bad but it should've had waaaaay more cheese!

I tried this restaurant in mexico city and i was very impressed by it! This was a super disappointing experience!

But in hind side when we spoke to the manager and expressed our dispointment, he did take some things off the check which we...

Ordered the salmon madame, red chilequilas, and eggs with bacon. We also had cappuccinos with an eclair, tart, macaron, and other pastries. The potatoes on the egg plate were overcooked. The red chile chilequiles sauce tasted reminiscent of a spaghetti or pizza sauce, not really a salsa. The steak in the childequiles were cooked well but it was sparse. The salmon madame was decent but it was a bit greasy. The cappuccinos were good and the pastries were mostly good too if not a bit sweet. Do note that the bottled water on the tables are in fact NOT complimentary ($5 usd). Also note that most of the staff here aren’t above and beyond like in the hotel zone. The pricing was high to get a taxi here (500 pesos / $30) and the distance was about 30 minutes away from the hotel zone. Overall, considering the pricing, distance, and subpar food, we definitely will not...
