Queridos Amigos — Restaurant in Chetumal

I came to chetumal on vacation so its really annoying when an experience is ruined. Im really writing this review so maybe someone that cares sees it.

First of all please distinguish your entrance so that someone can properly greet you when walking in.

I researched restaurants and this menu stood out to me, im a foodie and this menu really is amazing. I completely understand running out of items however your waitstaff should know and let guests know immediately. Our waiter had to go ask 3 times while we ordered. I ordered the chapa maya and was told its unavailable because you were out of arrachera so i asked if i can get another protein they said yes. When my order came i received bread lettuce cheese and sausage, i dont know what that was. My daughter order the birria sandwich and we never received it. The service was extremely disappointing. I order water and a juice never got it.

El lugar es agradable, la fachada es de una antigua típica vivienda chetumaleña, por dentro cuenta con remodelaciones amigablemente agradables. Dispone de un espacio con aire acondicionado, sin embargo únicamente pueden convivir en ese espacio en mesas de 4 personas, de modo que aunque las mesas se puede movilizar no puedes juntar en caso de asistir con más personas, en mi última visita al ser un grupo de aproximadamente 6 personas, el mesero nos indicó que no podían juntar las mesas dado que se rompería el piso, argumento bastante absurdo, que incluso deja en entredicho el tema de protección civil en el lugar. La comida es muy buena, los platillos son innovadores, mezclados con ingredientes de la región. LAS OCASIONES QUE HE REGRESADO HA SIDO UNICAMENTE POR LA COMIDA, DADO QUE LA ATENCIÓN AL CLIENTE ES MALA. Los meseros son jóvenes y señoritas, que aunque sean estudiantes, nada conocen de la atención al cliente, ni educación; los platillos tardan en ser servidos, cuando preguntas algo no te permiten terminar de hablar, de modo que interrumpen o no dan alternativas, simplemente se limitan a decir no tenemos, no hay, se nota en la cara su disgusto de estar en en lugar. En mi última visita sirvieron los platillos y no trajeron cubiertos, solicitamos al mesero que nos atendía se olvidó, lo solicitábamos a los meseros que pasaban y nos ignoraban o volteaban la cara, así que, EL LUGAR ES AGRABLE Y LA COMIDA ES MUY BUENA QUE VALE POR MUCHO SU PRECIO, PERO PREPÁRATE PARA PASAR UN MAL RATO CON SU...

I was walking down the street when I found this cute little green cafe and I decided to try it. Both the drinks and the food were brilliant. The customer service was great. Alex was so mindful of explaining the contents and the dish on the menu since I have limited Spanish skills. He went above and beyond and gave me an extra bread on the house (without me asking).
