El Tacoleto — Restaurant in Chiapas

We went here because of the reviews. It was very affordable, while seeming to us at least like a restaurant that would cost more from our experiences so far. We have definitely spent more on worse food. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the second we ran low on something it was replaced. We split 2 of the megacoletes (may be misspelled) and the marlin tostadas. They were all delicious. The tostadas came in a set of 3 but they gave us 4 because they realized we were sharing. All in all I would highly recommend this place. It came to about 290 pesos including 2 beers and 2 extra tacos (for us as it was a nice sit down dinner seemed very reasonable)

All in all we would definitely recommend anyone going to San Cristóbal to try this...

Wow - amazingly Delicious!!! I read some reviews that said this place had no flavour... they must have not bothered to add in all the amazing condiments!!! Yum👍🌶!!

We had the megacoleta (I thought it was going to be "mega", but it's actually a normal size for Australia. Haha) with PORK - Wow!! So much flavour and ever so juicy.

Stay away from the marlin (swordfish) tacos. Wasn't anything special and tasted like it was from a can 😐

Definite must haves pork, guacamole and the crusty massive cheese thing was great. All the condiments 👌👌👌

My wife and I both ate al pastor tacos and got hit by a real ugly spell of food poisoning. Its been 15 hours since the fact and we both are completely drained, dehydrated and unwell after a terrible night. I notice this is not an isolated case with thus restaurant, so PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL HERE because the meat is either spoiled, undercooked or the cleaning in the kitchen is not up to scratch!!!
