Museo del Café — Restaurant in Chiapas

Amazingly nice people! The coffee and the food are both delicious. It was so nice i went back three times. The museum is small, and only has description for the exhibit in Spanish, but it is very nice and quite interesting even for people who don't know much Spanish. I a bag of coffee from there and they were very nice to explain to me all the flavor profiles of the different coffees they have. I also wanted to get some unroasted green coffee beans, which they told me i could get Monday morning when they got their new delivery in (ordered on Saturday). Creí que había encontrado un lugar muy bonito, fui al museo del café en Tuxtla Gutiérrez y la verdad estaba súper precario, con todo y que te regalan una tasa de americano o de espresso al final del recorrido.

Por eso cuando vine a este museo me sentí muy feliz xq además de hablar del café hablaban de justicia social y enumeraban problemas a enfrentar a la hora de hacer un comercio justo del café para todos, tiene infografías interesantes, que también necesitan actualizarse o reemplazarse. Hasta ahí, todo bien.

Tienen cafetería, con bebidas a buenos precios, y comida rica.

El problema fue para comprar café molido o en grano por paquete. Cómo decía, iba muy feliz por esto del comercio justo, y hablando con los encargados me dieron info de los cafés y precios, me llevé dos bolsas, creyendo que estaba abonando mi granito de arena para dignificar el trabajo de los caficultures. Cuál es mi sorpresa cuando me encuentro un café disque gourmet, que ellos me vendieron en $320 pesos, y lo encuentro a $150, y hasta en $200 en el aeropuerto, la verdad me sentí estafado, está bien que sea turista y que quieran vender, pero la verdad ahí si me desilusionaron muchísimo, así que mi única recomendación es, antes de comprar aquí, chequen más opciones en mercados u otras tiendas, acerca del café que están comprando.

Al fina no me dolió pagar $320, sino que me quieran ver la cara, y me den ese precio sabiendo...
