I would give this place zero stars if I could. The food was mediocre at best, but the real issue was the outrageous prices and shady practices. They were blatantly overcharging for everything, and when I got the bill, I was shocked at how expensive it was for what we got.

To make things worse, as I was settling the check, the waiter had the audacity to ask why I wasn’t tipping—when I was literally planning to leave a cash tip. Instead of giving me a chance, he just assumed the worst and tried to pressure me into adding a tip on the card. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Velavento Mangle was a perfect little roadside stop while we were cruising the island toward Punta Sur on our golf cart. If you’re exploring Isla Mujeres and need a quick break, this is a great place to stop for a drink and a clean restroom , which, compared to some other spots, was a big plus.

The drink we had was strong, well-priced, and refreshing, exactly what we were looking for on a hot day. The whole place was surprisingly clean and well-maintained, which made the stop even better.
