Aguachiles Charlie, mariscos / Seafood — Restaurant in Jalisco

Our family ordered two aguachiles, litro sized. We chose shrimp for the aguachiles verde and mixed seafood aguachiles (shrimp, octopus, and tuna) for Tatemado style. Both were delicious! They have aguachiles available in single portion sizes too so you can try multiple flavors including Verde, Rojo, Selva Negra, Street San Luis, Piña, Mango, Tamarindo, and Cacahuete. We also enjoyed the cold shrimp cocktail with big meaty shrimp. Off the kids menu (I tried a bite of each item 😀) we ordered crispy battered chicken nuggets and large crispy crinkle fries which were also very tasty. The fresh lime margaritas and jamaica drinks were also refreshing. Join them for happy hour 1-3 for Pacifico/Corona/Victoria beers.

They also brought out a delicious garlicly salsa and fresh tortilla chips. The owner and his daughter were so kind and welcoming. Great food and service!

My husband and I found out about Mariscos Charlie’s through google, it was a 15min walk from our resort and we were glad we chose to go there.

We had the mixed ceviche, Vallarta style with shrimp and octopus, it was so fresh and yummy! We ate it so fast that we didn’t even take a picture.

I had the fish fillet, al ají, which is cooked with garlic butter, and it was delicious. My husband had the surf and turf fajitas and the meat was super tender, shrimp cooked to perfection.

10/10 recommend. The place has a really nice atmosphere, we met Charlie, who was very attentive, and welcoming. We ended the night with a shot of Bailey’s on ice that was the cherry on top. Would go back in a heartbeat. Until next...

Wow. This was one of the best meals I’ve had since I can remember.

When we arrived, all the tables were filled, but the servers there were so friendly and accommodating, they created an extra table just for us.

The ambiance was casual but still warm and inviting, with nice music and warm lights. My husband got an entire snapper, with shrimp Aguachile, and I got the sopa de mariscos that had a delicious homemade stock, and a huge variety of fresh seafood. Both were fabulous.

All the waiters and the owner were incredibly kind, we left in great spirits eager to come back for more. Did I mention the prices were a steal?
