Pizza Papa Don on Cuba 418 in Lázaro Cárdenas has completely stolen our hearts (and appetites)! After testing multiple pizza spots in Puerto Vallarta, this place is hands-down our favorite—and for good reason.

We usually go for the Champiñones or Hawaiiana, and both are consistently delicious. The dough? Thick, fluffy, and baked to perfection. The toppings? Super generous, loaded, and full of flavor. But the real kicker? Their homemade ketchup sauce—it's a game-changer. Sweet, tangy, and so addictive we could drink it separately (don't tempt us... jajaja).

You get a whole personal tray for just $60 to $80 pesos, which feels like a steal even by local standards. We’re not ashamed to say this is our dinner (or late-night dinner) 2–3 times a week. Yep. It’s that good.

Very friendly small pizzeria. They prepare the pizza in back and cook in a gas fired oven. Short walk across the park from The Sheraton Buganvillas. Owner sat with us and recommended places to go in the area while we drank some homemade iced tea with honey (delicious). She was extremely nice as so was the cook and waitress whom I believe are her children. Pizza was just over 5 usd 100 pesos each and I can only eat half. El viernes por la noche pedimos 3 pizzas en la pizzería Papa Don (1 vegetariana, 1 de chorizo, 1 de peperoni) y las pedimos para entrega a domicilio. Después de leer las reseñas mayormente positivas, teníamos mucha ilusión. Al abrir las cajas de pizza, nos sorprendió un poco el tamaño. Pero si la pizza sabía tan bien como se describía en internet, no nos importaba que fuera un poco más pequeña. Lo principal es que supiera bien.

Sin embargo, al dar los primeros mordiscos, todos quedamos muy decepcionados. A nuestros hijos de repente se les quitó el hambre y todos comimos las pizzas sin ganas, ya que no tenían ningún sabor y sabían a NADA. Además, los ingredientes eran de baja calidad, lo cual probablemente se refleja en el bajo precio. No tengo idea de cómo se obtienen las reseñas mayormente positivas, si son compradas o si la gente solo ve el precio bajo y no presta atención al sabor.
