If you don’t come here for the ambiance (if you like it noisy), don’t come. We stayed at the Hyatt and this place is literally down the street. I work for a beef production company and thought it would be great to try a good steak. The place is in a great location, looks new and updated. Seating areas are nice, although very noisy as it is in the middle of two streets and all the windows are open. We were sat fairly quickly (20 minutes) on a Friday night. After that it went downhill. I should have read the reviews. The service leaves allot to be desired, don’t expect highly trained staff. They take their time to arrive to the table, we waited longer for a server and water than we did to be seated. Once they arrived they offered the appetizer, which was very good. We seemed to have many servers, but they must not communicate, because they either came right after each other , or not at all. We finally were able to order. We assumed since it’s a steak house and they offer great cuts of beef, surely they have trained cooks who have the steak cooking down to a T. Well we were very disappointed. We ordered two vaca Rib eyes’ as we are well aware of how challenging it is for most cooks to cook a good well done steak or 3/4 that is not raw and is not dry. Also ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and mashed potatoes. Sadly they cook better pasta than steak. The steak was cooked medium rare. We cut through both hoping one was to our liking and they were not. We hate returning food, but had no choice. On the second try one was cooked closer to 3/4, the other one medium well. We should have ordered the one where you cook it yourself. I recommend this place if you just want a drink and to hang out and talk, if you are looking for a well cooked, quality piece of steak, I cannot say this is it. We might give it another try before leaving, but not sure as there are plenty of restaurants with quality...

Nice atmosphere and great service. Quality was good. The food is value priced, the wines are very overpriced (a bottle of wine we got cost twice as much as the same bottle at another restaurant in Mexico 2 days later).

Two things to note. The portions are huge. Highly recommend sharing one steak. The filets were gigantic, over a pound each. The asparagus was very good, the potatoes had the consistency of powdered potatoes.

Secondly as others have noted the steaks come out way undercooked. We ordered our filets medium and they came out very rare ..deep red all the way through. In my youth I worked in a steak restaurant and we used to call that cooking "black and blue" - roll the steak across high heat to sear and don't cook inside. Anyway we sent them both back to cook more and when they returned one was cooked correctly and the other one wasn't even the steak we sent back. It was a well done steak that wasn't ours originally - we knew that because we had cut ours in half before sending them back and this steak was whole. We ended up just sharing the correctly cooked steak and didn't bother with the well done one.

The better choice would have been to get the Vacio for two because it came with a hot stone to cook on so you could be sure to have the steak...
