This used to be my go-to restaurant after flying in from America. I split my time here & there so I fly in at least once every 2 months. The food & service here has drastically decreased over time. The salsa that comes with chips tasted like canned tomato puree & salt. That's it. It used to taste fresh, with lots of garlic, onion, cilantro & seasoning. Now, it tastes worse than the salsa that comes in a jar from Walmart. The service is non-existent. It took them at least 20 minutes to take our order. The drinks arrived after another 10 minutes. The food arrived after another 20 minutes. Which is illogical because there were so few customers dining in. There were only 2 other tables besides us. The lemonade tasted like it was rotten. The chips were stale & way over salted. The Buffalo chicken salad was so bad. The bacon bits were gray & cold. The lettuce was wilted. The chicken was cold & stale. The veggies were mushy, like if they had been thrown around. I ate most of it because I was starving from my flight. But next time, I would literally rather eat more peanuts from the plane than this food. We asked our server why there was such a significant decline in the quality & freshness in the food & drinks. She said that corporate is trying to cut corners, save money by cheapening the product & cutting staff. It's also worth mentioning that I did send back the lemonade, I asked to replace it with a canned coke since that seemed like the safer option & she still charged me for the lemonade. The manager did take it off when I mentioned it to her. It was more than obvious that the staff does not care one single bit if you're satisfied with the food or service. Honestly, I don't blame them. Why should they care about the customer if the corporation clearly does not care about them? They've made that clear by not appropriately staffing the restaurants. Either that, or the decline in goods is so high that it results in customers regularly taking out their frustrations on the staff. Corporate is making a big mistake by worsening the quality of food & cutting staff. I'm sure they think they're saving money upfront, but they do not realize they're losing customers because of it, which will cost them a lot more money in the long run...

Read moreWe were excited, as they closed all the Chilis in Edmonton, except at airport, international area, so no access unless you fly. We went to plaza galerias for a great lunch and got very dissapointed. Service not very friendly, no air conditiining, some fans but not close to us. No one liked the food. The only thing some of us liked were the hamburgers. I ordered tortilla soup, no cheese, tortilla chips all soft and soggy, like soup was sitting there for a while. Better tortilla soup in Canada then here in Mexico. Servers looked very unhappy and at the end brought card machine and did everything, even asked how much tip i was going to give. Very unconfortable. For our friends first and last time to Chilis. Will...
